"Reply! I noticed that I got a skill named Mimicry. What is it?" (Kat)
[{message} I'm Goddess Allora. I'm the Goddess of magic. Mimicry is a magic spell of camouflage. Let's say you are next to a tree. You can cast Mimicry and be a part of the tree. Others will think you are a tree unless they spotted you turning into a tree. The most enhanced smell will not be able to sense you. The only drawback is it consumes lots of mana. It also will deactivate if you move. It has its pros and cons.]
The grass on the grassland was the hip size. Kat couldn't sense anything around; could see the boulder. Kat stored her bow. Then she opened her map. Following the route to the rock, she started to bear crawl. The bear crawl is like pretending to be on all fours. She moved as quietly as possible towards the bolder. She always used her enhanced senses to check her surroundings.
She wonders how fast her body can remember her archery from high school. She wasn't the best or the worst. She used a compound bow. Now she only has a small bow. She wants to practice. She doesn't want to put her life on the line. She had to stop and go not only to the check area, but also her legs started to burn. She felt like she was back in school, doing squats. {I should learn healing magic. This f**k*n sucks!} With no watch or phone, she estimated it took her few hours to reach the forest finely.
She climbed the tree to relax for some time. At some point, a big boar came into view. She remembered her father's teaching. Even as a man, She never liked dad's hobbies. Dad was always about hunting and fishing.
{Katsu, you got to remember how the body works. The brain sends messages to move, and then it moves. I have seen it happen. During the war, one of my troops shot the enemy in the head. As he was dropping dead, the dead body shot my soldier. It's called a subconscious reaction. If you plan on ever to take up hunting, remember my boy, track the animal. Most animals will run because of pain or surprise. If you shoot it in the heart, it will take time to deprive the brain of oxygen. You don't know how many times I have found dead deer because the hunter didn't track it. I even followed some to figure out how long it ran. When I find out that it was like a hundred meters away, it pisses me off. What a f**k*n lazy ass hunter. What a waste of good meat.}
Taking in a big breath, Kat focused on the big boar. It was like three times the size of the boar dad brought home. {This is real. I got to kill for real to live.} Kat pulled out her bow from inventory. The boar was about 50 meters to the tree and approaching. She focused on the spot lower part of the chest cavity, right behind the front legs. She exhaled out and released the arrow. Its flow and hit the mark.
Then the boar turned towards Kat's direction. It charged at the big ass tree. Blood was pumping out of it. It still wanted to take out whoever hurt it. Kat just held tight of the tree and watched the crazy show. Every time the boar slammed into the tree, blood would come out of its mouth and area it got shot. It took about 15 minutes of this crazy show before the boar collapsed.
Kat had to try to see if she can put the boar in inventory without touching it. She focused on it and thought 'inventory.' The boar vanished. She checked her 'inventory.' The boar was there. She pulled out the boar and slit its throat. She let the blood flow out. After it stopped, she put it back in her inventory.
"Now, I need to find those rabbits." (Kat)
Kat started to lessen. At one point, she heard this eerie scream. Kat thought I don't want to go that way. Right after, she saw horn rabbits running away from that area. Kat rapidly shot the rabbit after rabbit. She didn't know what that scream was, but it helped her. They didn't take long to drop dead. She started to shoot and store the rabbits. The horn rabbits weren't like she expected. They look like jackrabbits with a small horn on its head. Kat had a hard time seeing the horn because of those long ears.
After she killed 8 of them, they stopped coming her way. Then she pulled one out. She sniffed its fur to register its smell. She then used her enhanced sense of smell to track more horn rabbits. She kept on going until she ran out of arrows. She started with 20 of them.
She hunted until she got 19 horn rabbit and a boar. She decided to end it. She has arrows in the inventory. They have blood on them. They need to be cleaning
Kat climbed a tree. Then she pulled out one rabbit at a time to drain its blood. She pulled the arrow out and slit their throat; blood dripped on the ground under the tree. The blood might attract a predator. After she completed draining of the blood, she took off for the city. She moved like someone playing hide and seek.
