"How do I use soft steps? I tried walking softly but can't get the skill to go to level one."(Kat)

"Soft steps are easy to do. You put mana around your feet. It becomes a cushion. If you step on a twig, the cushion will suppress the twig breaking."(Martha)

"Yep, that's going to be a problem. I don't know how to move mana or even sense it."(Kat)

"You'll need to learn it. Otherwise, you can't go with the scouts. How much is your mana on your status?"(Sarah)

"It's at one hundred. I know it's low because I don't have the skills to expand it."(Kat)

"That isn't bad. For a fifteen-year-old, It should be around 50. To be 100, you need lots of work on it. Your bloodline might have helped you there. People should start at birth to have a sand size mana crystal in them. That is about ten on the status. If you level it to 1'000, it should be about the size of a pea. Don't think you're unique. You're not the only one who starts higher. Some people think because they started at a higher level, their destiny is a court magician. A court magician has a minimum of 10'000 on their status under mana."(Sarah)

"I don't want to become a court magician. That's strapping me down for the rest of my life. I still want to see the world. I only have one life to live."(Kat)

"Are you planning to leave us?"(Sophia)

"Sophia, I don't know anything? This house is perfect for me. Some day I'll visit the other houses. I'll explore this kingdom first. Then move to another kingdom to explore. If I named the profession, I would like to be an explorer. I want to change métier like never seen before. I want to try everything. In searching everywhere, I might find myself. Maybe someday find someone to share with my life. It would help if you still taught me how to cook. I'll spend lots of time with you."(Kat)

"It wouldn't be a good idea to set you up with my son."(Sarah)

"Haha, what boy would leave the safety of his house to go with a crazy girl."(Kat)

"I don't think you are crazy. You only want to travel a road; not many would take. You aren't the first person I met that took that road."(Sarah)

"I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one. Sometimes, I lose myself in my head. It sometimes freaks me out. Am I going to turn into a beast?

I could kill a horned rabbit without a second thought. Then when I killed the Goldhorn, I almost broke down crying. It was a gorgeous creature."(Kat)

"I hope you aren't backing out of the deal."(Martha)

"Nope, not a chance. I'll keep to the deal."(Kat)

"Good, let's go to your room. I'll help you get mana sense. It shouldn't take long. After you get it, it's up to you on how fast to learn mana control. Most take a few minutes to a few hours. It's all up to your willingness and imagination."(Martha)

Kat went upstairs with Martha to her room. To get mana sense is to feel mana flow, Martha forced mana through Kat. She had to be careful not to send the mana close to Kat's heart area. Each mana crystal has it's own mana wave. It's like a fingerprint.

Next, Kat needs to close her eyes and concentrate on feeling the mana inside herself. This action is called meditation. Then she needs to move the mana to a particular location. For soft steps, she needs to move it to her feet. As Kat was upstairs, Sophia prepared some tea for everyone. She then sat down.

"Sarah, what do you think?"(Sophia)

"She was sheltered. I think having friends will get her in the right place. I am just thinking of her going to school for eight years. You said her guild card said she is 15 years old. We don't know how long she traveled. So how young was when she started school, they forced her into it. Of course, it was a waste of time. Teach her anything and everything she wants. I'll be staying a few days to support the hunting. Let me know if you need anything without her knowing, I'll help.

You know, Sophia, She is right about trying to start a school for all commonwealth. You would do a great headmaster of a school. I'll talk to my father about it. Oh, don't misunderstand; I will never let you marry my stupid brother. My son, on the other hand, just say the word, and he is yours. He still is thinking of you."(Sarah)

"I know I talked to him a few days ago. I have a long way to go before I am ready. If the king approves the school, I will marry him. I hope he doesn't think it's only to get the school."(Sophia)

"That, He wouldn't think. He always wanted to help you on your mission. That would only give him what he wants. To the rest of you girls, you all should figure out that if the school goes up, the flower houses will go down. Then all the sisters will help the school."(Sarah)
