Chapter Seven ~Calypso~ After Gretchen told us someone was looking for me. She tells us where she is so we can pick her up. Anora hangs up the phone and I drive like a mad man toward Gretchen. We arrive at the spot we are supposed to meet, and Gretchen was no where to be found. Both Anora and I are freaking out driving the streets looking for her, but we couldn't find Gretchen anywhere. I called my parents phones a hundred times with no answer. We decided to go to the police station that my dad works at. They recognize me as soon as I walk in. "Hey, Caly" one of the officers says "I don't think your dad is here right now" I was hoping I would catch my parents here before they left on what ever investigation my dad was called to, but it didn't matter we were here to report Gretchen is missing. I tell the officer what happened, and he looks back at me understanding our concern. He responds "Well, girls, I'm sure if it is how you say. Your friend was probably questioned by some law enforcement. Where she forgot her phone and you just have no way of contacting her. She could be just fine. I'm sure she is just fine" he reassures. "It's only been a few hours, give her sometime, I'm sure she will contact you soon. And if in 24 hours after you last spoke, she still hasn't contacted you, we can file a report" I'm devastated and furious at the same time. I know if my father was here he would believe me. He wouldn't hesitate to take further action, but I understood where the officer was coming from and so did Anora. We decided to leave with nothing to show for it. As we walk out, I look at Anora and tell her "I don't feel right leaving the city with out Gretchen. I think I want to stay and keep looking" "Of course! We are going to find her" Anora agrees. ~Gretchen~ I sit on the bus bench downtown waiting for my friends to arrive to save me from this horrible night. I was dreading the conversation we were going to have where I confess about Octavia. My head was in my hands when I hear a car pull up. I look up hoping it will be them. Only to see a familiar face, Octavia. She jumps out of her car and comes around to me. "Oh, thank God" I say in relief that she was here. Octavia walked with a smirk on her face and embraces me. I feel her arms rise up my back and her hand slip behind my hair. When I feel a prick pierce my neck. My eyes roll back, and I feel her drag my heavy body into the car.
