~Calypso~
In the end it was James who offered me his blood. I could see how deeply he cared and wanted to be the one to save me from the world. And I could feel how cold I was being towards him, but it was impossible to control.
They laid me down on the wooden floor where they all knelt beside me. My Gramair put her cold hand on my forehead, brushing my hair off my face.
"I imagine it will be quick" she says, with a smile of encouragement.
"Why would you assume that?" Octavia asks, a little sarcastically, obviously disagreeing with the decision.
"Because it will normally kill any beast in seconds after they ingest it?" Octavia asks, with an angered tone.
"Yes, you're exactly right" my Gramair says, unaffected by her remarks.
Octavia grabs my shoulder.
"Caly, you don't have to do this, we can find another way"
"We don't have time, this is the way" I say, ignoring her gaze looking straight at the ceiling.
With this James leaned in. He looked me deeply in my eyes and I locked mine with his. He softly bit his bottom lip and his fangs did the rest. I feel a few drops of blood drip on my lips before he leans down for a kiss.
As soon as his blood hit my tongue, electricity flooded my body like a thunder storm was raging inside me. With every strike of lighting it lit a fire that burned across every limb. My neck flew back so hard I could hear my bones underneath cracking. I tired to scream or even breathe but my body was a slave to the pain. It felt like every atom of my body was being ripped apart as I slowly burn into nothing but dead flesh. The world around me was no more as I fell into a deep void. I could feel my connection with the world became almost non-existent.
When in the dark I hear the voice of my sister bringing me back up to the light.
All of a sudden I'm standing before her. She is still chained, unconscious, on the ground. Her breath fogs in the cold basement. She hasn't been moved since I was last with her. I look for the window. The small basement window that I saw last time I was here. I run and jump, lifting my self up on the window sill. To see if I can figure out where we are.
When I see it. The old buildings I know so well. I know exactly where to find her. The abandoned brewery factory downtown.
My eyes fly open and I sit up with urgency. I look around to see Gretchen crying in Octavia's arms. The sight of me instantly alarmed her. Gretchen threw her hands around me and said.
"I thought we lost you. Your were out for so long"
"How long?" I ask, afraid of how much time has past.
"Like two minutes" Gretchen responds and I'm instantly relived "but it was too long" she says before letting go of our embrace.
I look to my Gramair "I know where she is!"
