The night everything changed

As they where running threw the forrest I sat up on my mom's back enjoying the wind in my hair I can't wait to shift and run on my own. My dad bumped us mom bumped him back. I always loved coming out with them it felt so free. My eyes where closed enjoying the wind when all of a sudden I was snatched off my mom's back. I couldn't help but curl into a ball my mom flipped around to a stop while growling. When she stopped growling I opened my eyes to look up to see it was my dad. He had a smug look on his face holding my shirt with his teeth. I let out a breath of relief in that moment he took of mom hot on his heels. He tried taking a sharp turn to throw her off but she slid infront of him on her side and snatched me back standing easily leaving my dad in shock with just a torn part of my shirt now she had a smug look. I could see how proud he was to have such a smart mate. I can't wait to do this with my own pup and mate.

"Alex, we need to go home."

What are you talking about Jake?

"Just listen to me and say you're ready to go home"

Before I could say anything mom linked saying it was getting late and we needed to get home because I had school in the morning. I groaned as she put me down so I could get on her back but I stopped next to her and started looking around I felt like someone was watching us. My parents looked at me confused and looked around for a second before looking back at me. I started walking away when my dad gave me a growl letting me know he wasn't in the mood for my games.

"Axel we need to run you waisted to much time!"

Before I could move there a snap of a twig I froze and my parents growled jumping in front of me. Glowing red eyes was all I could see in the dark the figure stepped out.

"GRANDPA!"

I pushed past my parents jumping into his arms he smiled giving me a big hug when I turned around my parents where already shifted back and dressed looking unhappy.

"What are you doing here father"

My mother hissed I was in shock my mom hardly ever showed her vampire side.

"I missed my grandson and wanted to meet my granddaughter but your mates brother was determined to not let me in without y'all there."

"Give me my son father"

My mom grabbed me from him and started walking away. My grandfather stood there looking angry. I noticed him shift his stance all I could do was yell.

"DAD!"

As he turned around my grandfather started attacking. They where fighting I didn't understand my mom put me down and told me to run and not look back she shifted and joined the fight. My grandfather was trying to avoid my mom and attack my dad but he slammed my dad down on the ground in the split second before he could finish my dad off my mom knocked him back when she went to attack again he threw my mom against a tree I got so mad all the fear and confusion left he was picking my dad up by the throat. I charged him my mom snatched me up but not in time to stop me from hitting him. Everyone froze at the sight of me hitting him he slowly stood up turning his gaze. Holding my dad by his throat I held his gaze.

"Don't ever touch my mom again."

His eyes hardened while my dad's eyes filled with pride my grandfather threw him into a tree. My grandfather started walking towards me and my mother dad took advantage of my grandfathers focus on me to rip my grandfather's arms from his body. He went to rip off my grandfathers head but he dropped and spun on his knees dodging and tripping my dad and biting his arm my mom put me down and charged her father finishing the job ripping her dad apart with no remorse or sadness in sight she put them in a pile before she dropped down by my dad starting to suck the venom out. Thinking she got it all she picked me up n started taking me home.

"I will send your uncle to come get your father."

I stared at my moms fathers pile of body parts with so much hate and anger when all of a sudden it burst into flames. My mom started running when we bust in the house.

"DRACO HURRY A FIRE STARTED JAFAR IS JUST OUTSIDE THE CLEARING IN THE FOREST!"

He rushed out when he came back carrying my dad to his room I was calming my sister down mom woke her up when she yelled aunt Ally was trying to calm my mom down.

"Liana, can I talk to you real quick?"

"Axel go to your room please you can take your sister with aunt Ally's help."

I smiled really big and looked at my aunt with pleading eyes she smiled grabbed my sister and fallowed me up stairs. Thanks to my new wolf hearing no one knew I had gained I could still hear my mom and uncles conversation.

"Liana there was no fire when I got there the only evidence of a fire was a pile of ash only a foot away from my brother"

"How is that possible? Vampires don't burst into flames?!"

"Vampire? Oh your father went and found y'all didn't he?"

"Yes."

"AXEL"

I heard my father yell I look up at my aunt she nodded at me taking my sister from my arms I ran to my dad's side he was still laying in bed.

"I'm here dad, what do you need? Are you okay?"

"I am fine son"

He said in a low exhausted voice

"I just wanted t-to tell you I a-am proud of y-you for defending your m-mom."

I smiled at his praise but his breath slowed he was still covered in sweat. All I could think to do was run to my mom and tell her.

"Mom dad's not ok his breath is slowing and he's pouring sweat."

She grabbed a cool rag took it up to him as I fallowed placing it on his head.

"He's ok hunny I may have not got all the venom as I thought, his body is fighting it I'll have the pack doctor check on him on the morning let's get you to bed"

I couldn't sleep I was tossing and turning until I heard for steps coming up the stairs I sat up to see my dad walk in I smiled.

"You don't have to worry dad grandfather will never hurt y'all again."

To my disbelief he came up to me eyes filled with rage. I didn't know what to do so I sat quietly waiting for him to say he wasn't mad at me. Waiting for him to sigh and walk away. Non of that happened my wolves growled in my head and he hit me I yelled for mom not understanding she came rushing in roaring in anger at my dad.

"DON'T EVER PUT YOUR HANDS ON MY PUP AGAIN"

He roared back

"IF HE WOULD OF JUST GOT ON YOUR BACK SO WE COULD LEAVE NONE OF THAT WOULD OF HAD TO HAPPEN!"

"HE DOESN'T KNOW WE STOPPED TALKING TO MY DAD OR WHY WE TOLD HIM HE WAS TO BUSY RUNNING HIS CLAN"

She pushed him out the door after what I soom was putting him back to bed she came back to look at my face it was bruised.

"Well any chance of you going to school is gone, I'm sorry baby boy he's not thinking clearly right now."

and with that she left an I curled up into bed trying to go to sleep.
