Andrea's POV

*Axel's little sister*

"Today is my eighth birthday! I'm so excited my brother is helping my mom cook all my favorite foods!"

I run down the hall giving my brother a big hug he picks me up spinning me around.

"Happy birthday squirt"

"Axe i'm eight now when will you stop calling me that!"

"When you grow taller then me"

He said with a wink. I just roll my eyes walking around the counter. He looked around before pulling his shirt up to wipe his face I see the bruises that means dad used him as an outlet for his anger again.

He tried to hide it from me to protect me but I can hear them at night from my room.

Axel's POV

It's been eight years now sense that night dad has not got any better I remember the doctor saying he had some venom left and if his body wasn't able to fight it off he'd go crazy. Sense then mom hasn't been the same either a couple days later she said it was like her wolf was fading away about a week later she couldn't feel her wolf anymore and because she refuses to drink blood her vampire gifts have always been weak. She's basically a human now which is why my father has gotten away with beating me for so long. I am now 16 and everyone knows I have a wolf.. well they think just 1.

"Mom why don't you go play with Andrea I'll finish cleaning up"

"Thank you son, I hope you know how proud I am of the man your becoming.. I just wi-"

"Mom all the good I am is because of you don't you dare blame yourself for my father's bullsh*t"

With that she walked away to play with Andrea. I finished up the dishes and went to the door watching mom play with all the kids always put a smile on my face in that moment she seems happy again. when I heard those foot steps coming down the stairs I shut the door he was not gonna ruin squirts birthday.

"There's the mommas boy"

He slurred his words great he's been drinking.

"There's the piece of sh*t my mom got stuck with"

"You better watch it boy, wouldn't want something to happen to Andrea"

I growled all my wolves ready to rip this bast*rd apart but I had to keep calm for her sake. We ate dinner man her eyes lit up when she seen all her favorite food there was pizza, spaghetti, tacos, enchiladas, Mac n' cheese, nothing really went together but it was her birthday.when we did presents her smile only got bigger. we had a dance floor looking area so we all danced she made sure she got to dance with everyone. Watching Andrea play with all her friends made me so happy. I wish I could say with all the innocence in the world but no matter how much me and mom tried to hide what our father was from her. I know she knows. My father walked out looking like his old self I hated how he did that. He was the devil. He walked past me with a drink probably for my mom that's the only good he does is make sure my mom stays hydrated but as he walked by.

"wolfsbane"

I didn't have time to ask I just listened to Celest. He was my 5th wolf he never talks just to talk and he only says when he is sure. I jumped up grabbing the cup my father trying to keep up his image calmly asked what I was doing I locked eyes with him and dumped it out I grabbed my mom a water bottle and gave it to her the party ended after another hour. After everyone left I instantly snapped at my father while the girls where outside.

"IS THAT WHY MOM HASN'T FELT LUISA IN YEARS YOU GAVE HER JUST ENOUGH TO MAKE HER WEAK!"

"Looking for another beating already boy you only turned sixteen the day before last and you think you have that control."

Little did he know we shifted at 14 so I could train to protect my mom and sister.

"Let's go you basta*d"

The girls just had to walk in when we where in each others faces.

"Mom go with Andrea to her room."

She tried to lead Andrea to her room.

"No dad, please not today not on my birthday!"

He turned to look at her with an evil grin on his face lowering his self to her level. I was watching him very closely.

"You know princess your big brother there was about your age when I hit him for the first time. Would you like to take his place?"

I grabbed his hand and pulled him away from her.

"NOW MOM."

She snatched up Andrea and ran up to her room. I had enough of his s**t and threatening Andrea was the last straw. I could take the beating knowing he never touched my mom or sister but now he was going to die. That's when it happened my anger was to high and the second i heard the door shut I shifted to my surprise Celest was the one that came forward. He gave my father a chance to shift when he did he waisted no time and jumped at us Celest ducked down rolled on to his back and clawed Iago's stomach. More like slashed he was pouring blood bits of his insides hanging out he let out a roar that shook the whole house. Celest didn't even flinch I started linking him. While Celest dodged his attacks perfectly.

"You used to be a great alpha but when push came to shove you snapped. Do you not realize the only reason uncle only took the title from you and not taking your life after he found out was because mom begged him not to kill you!"

"SHUT UP YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT!"

"Oh I don't? I DON'T KNOW THAT MY MOTHER TOLD DRACO I DIDN'T HEAR HER SAY IF HE WAS GONNA KILL YOU HE BETTER KILL HER FIRST?! SHE WAS WILLING TO LEAVE US WITHOUT PARENTS OVER YOU!"

He finally dropped from the lack of blood.

"Sh-she what?"

"Yeah you assh*le die knowing you have spent years poisoning the only person who wanted you still here."
