"I don't get what Jessy sees in this Axel guy he may seem nice but trusting him so quickly? She's young and naive but I'll be building up my strength and be ready for anything."

I watched as they raced and played around the yard he seemed to listen every carefully to her at dinner. I didn't like it he seemed to focused on what we need he put towels in the bathroom close to the rooms he said we could sleep in. Why did he give us different rooms? Was he trying to make sure she was alone so in the middle of the night it would be easier for him to do whatever he wanted.

Around nine o'clock he said she better get to bed no matter her protest he managed to get her to agree with a promise to take her for ice cream tomorrow. He went to the living room and turned on the TV grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and sat down on the couch.

"You can join me if you want"

He said in a sexy deep voice I didn't respond he just watched the TV while I stood there and looked at him. His black hair just long enough at the top to reach a little over have way down his head when wet. He had it flipped to one side.

"It's rude to stair little one"

"Little one?! I'm probably no younger then you!"

"Well how old are you?"

"I am 15 if you must know"

Did I seriously just tell him my age?!

"You a year younger then me."

I was in shock he didn't seem to care about my out burst nor the fact I just gave him vital information about my self. Like shifting before 16 was normal or something. He's acted like a... like a normal person would. Am I actually just having a normal conversation with a man at that?

"Your little sister has quite the spirit her and my sister will get along great."

"Your sister?"

"Yea my little sister and mom will be coming tomorrow."

"How old is your sister?"

"She just turned eight."

"Can I ask you something?"

"You already are, why would I stop you now?"

"You said your mom and sister.. wh-what about your dad."

He seemed to tense at my question and stood up taking a deep breath. I tensed up ready to run away. He turned to me with so much pain, hurt and anger in his eyes.

"Don't ever mention him again please especially not infront of my mom and sister."

With that he turned off the TV and went up stairs. That night I couldn't sleep and when I went to check on my sister she was gone! I started running all the out the house looking for her when I heard her voice in my head.

"Shut up Ember you're going to wake him"

I looked towards the sorry had leading to the stairs I went up there to see her sitting by I assumed his door.

"What are you doing"

"He was sad and angry I wanted to help him like he helped us but I didn't know what I'd do if I walked into the room so I just sat here."

My sister can be such a sweetheart but I don't think she realizes how creepy this would look.

"What did u do?"

"What?"

"What did you say to him?"

"Nothing"

"You had to of said something Ember"

During our conversation the door opened we both froze. Axel stood in the doorway with no shirt on showing his abs and muscles damn he was hot. I look down and seen Jessy drooling I lightly kicked her.

"What?!"

"Jessy don't blame your sister for my mood I have had a lot happen and I'm still trying to cope sometimes I just need some space."

"Oh sorry Axel"

"Y'all go get some sleep now ok?"

"Okay"

We answered in unison and started walking back into our rooms when I heard him.

"You shouldn't doubt your sister Ember she's a very bright young wolf who knows more then she says."

With that he closed the door and I went back to my room and was finally able to fall into a peaceful sleep.

When I woke up I smelled bacon walking out of my room I seen Jessy and Axel making breakfast. While a little girl and a lady in her early 30s late 20s. I walk into the kitchen when the little girl shouted.

"ITS ALIVE"

The lady I'm assuming to be his mom choked on her tea.

"Andrea"

Axel said in a disapproving tone. While my sister just started laughing her butt off. I just stood there I didn't know what to do it what to expect to happen.

"I'm so sorry about that dear that's my daughter Andrea I'm Lianna but you can call me Lian or mom."

I looked at her confused. I could call her mom? I don't even know her why would I call her m-

"Mom!"

"Yes Jessy"

"Look I did your pieces of bacon all on my own!"

"Those look perfect!"

My sister gave no f*cks apparently already calling some stranger mom. Then again we have ran into plenty of wolves on our way here and she was nice to them of course and respectful but nothing like this. Did we finally do it is it possible did we find. My thoughts where interrupted when 2 guys and a girl walked in one of the guys and the one girl looked around Axel's age.

"Hey momma"

They called out in unison. Momma? How many kids did she have? Axel didn't mention anything about other siblings.

"Kain, Alaya nice if you too join us after ignoring my invites to join me for dinner at Max's"

Lian said looking at them with her arms crossed and lifting one eyebrow.

"oOoOO you two better get to begging for her forgiveness!"

Andrea said in a sassy time. My eyes grew big beg for her forgiveness.. what would they have to do to get it? I have to get Jessy out of here now. But when I looked at her she was.. laughing?! How could she laugh at this! That's when I noticed they begged but not in a serious matter they walked up to her dropped to their knees with mischievous smiles?

"Oh dear queen of the house please forgive us or we will have no choice but to throw you in the lake so you'll cool off!"

They said in unison.

"Hay! That's no

They talked in unison

"Then you give us no choice!"

They walked one on each side of her chair grabbing the legs of it and lifting her up.

"Off to the lake we go"

"No no no y'all better out me down right now! Max! Make them stop."

They looked at the second guy who walked in with a considering it look on his face they stopped looking at him.

"Sorry Lian they did warn you"

He opened the door as they started walking outside.

"OKAY OKAY I forgive y'all!"

They brought her back in and everyone was laughing except her she looked like she was pouting. The Max guy came by her side giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Don't pout mi amor I wouldn't have let them get all the way to the lake"

She stuck her tongue out at him looking away.

"Axel?"

"Yes Max?"

"Remember what we used to do to Andrea when she would pout"

Andrea got an evil grin on her face and pulled Jessy over by me. While Kain and Alaya instantly got out of their seats joining the now crowded door was. Axel had a big grin turning off the stove and turning around.

"Yes sir I sure do"

"Now Lian if you don't wanna face consequences you better stop with the pouting."

She sat there acting like he didn't say anything at all towards her.

"Mom"

"Yes Axel?"

He walked up to her while Max turned her seat to face Axel.

"Last chance"

"Last chance to what son?"

That's when Axel stood tall looked at us and all the food on the table.

"s**t"

Yelled Kain and Alaya while rushing back to start grabbing the food with help from Andrea. Me and Jess stayed put both in confusion when BAM the table got flipped but I could hear Lian laughing. They where tickling her her kicking is what flipped the table.

"Stop stop stop!"

Lian yelled to no avail Axel and this Max guy did no such thing that's when I got the thought what if he's ticklish Jess must of had the same thought. We both started slowly walking up behind Axel. I'll be damned he was ticklish. He turned his focus to us giving Lian a chance to brake away from Max. He didn't just take us tickling him tho no he fought back. We all fell laughing our butts off. Maybe we had found our safe place after all.
