Chapter Twelve The world shimmered and reformed and Summer swayed on her feet, standing in front of what looked like a deserted cottage. “Where are we? How did we get here?” Letting go of Taya’s hand, she slowly turned around to check out her surroundings. A forest pressed in around the cottage, the small clearing full of tall grass and scattered wildflowers. “Where are the Fringes?” “There’s a well out the back. Draw up some water and clean yourselves before you come inside. There is a tub in the rose garden if you prefer to use that.” Taya focused on Summer. “I can bring clothes for you, but he will have to make do with a sheet while his own clothes dry after he washes them.” Taya disappeared inside, the door closing behind her.
