Serenity met Damien back at the door and rushed into his arms, needing what comfort he could give. He didn’t say anything, only brushing his fingers through her hair and squeezing her still shaking frame as she buried her face into his shoulder. In that moment she did not care about the on-looking eyes, or anything except that she needed his strong arms around her. Damien could only growl at any he felt stared at her for to long before pulling her into a corner where he found a bench where he could sit and pull her into his lap. He could tell that she had only dropped a few tears, but she was struggling to hold them in, so he pulled out a travel size roll of tissue and handed one to her. She met his eyes with surprise. “I figured this might get emotional. So…just in case.” She grin
