RACHEL'S POV
For the next two days, Sabrina kept bothering me. I think she asked Kenneth for my number because she upgraded to texting me b*llsh*t. Sabrina told me to sit somewhere else because she hates seeing Kenneth and me sitting together in class. As a Vaughn, of course, I didn't listen to her and kept my seat. She's a nobody compared to me, so why would I follow her immature act? "She's getting on my nerves," I told Jessica as we walked in the hallway. "Why don't you tell Kenneth?" she suggested. "If I tell Kenneth, will he believe me? Of course, he will take her side," I answered and stopped in front of our lockers. "At least you informed him," she commented and opened her locker. We're on our way to P.E class, and we are putting our books in our locker. I shrugged at Jessica's statement and opened my locker.
As I opened my innocent locker, trash fell out like a landslide. There were food wrappers, fruit peels, and wasted papers. "What the-," Jessica said in shock and didn't continue her sentence as she examined the sight. My mouth went agape in shock and frustration. "Wow," I remarked and laughed in anger. "I won't tell you to calm down," Jessica carefully said as she saw how mad I was right now. I felt my blood boiling so much, and I wanted to scream in anger, but instead, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. I brushed off some dirt that fell on me and took out my phone to call Kenneth. "What's up?" he answered. "Let's talk in class," I said and immediately ended the call. He must be very curious about why I said that and why I ended the call right after talking.
"You won't kill her, right?" Jessica asked, and I turned to her with wide eyes. "I won't do that, but I will do something worse," I told her sternly, and she gulped. Jessica smiled sweetly at me and pulled me to the locker room to change into our P.E clothes. I won't let Sabrina get away with what she did. She can keep bothering me with texts, but she should NEVER use dirt on me. Not that I'm disgusted, but first of all, I'm allergic to dust, and second is, I always want my things to be clean. Seeing those garbage in my locker made it so disorganized, and I will never let it slide. We arrived at the locker room and changed into our P.E clothes to move comfortably. "She's here," Jessica whispered, and I turned to see Sabrina and her minions enter the room.
"It smells like trash in here," Sabrina said, loud enough for me to hear. "Yeah, that is why oral hygiene is necessary," I loudly said without looking at them, and I heard them scoff. "A rich girl who pretends to be humble but actually likes the fame she gets," she said. So weak. "A spoiled br*t who acts sweet but is actually a two-faced b*tch," I fired back, and her mouth fell open in frustration. "I already told you. You DON'T get to tell me what to do, but you chose to put dirt on me. You're embarrassing yourself, darling," I reminded her, and she rolled her eyes. "You're his friend while I'm the girlfriend. Of course, he will believe me more than you," she confidently said, and I sarcastically laughed and clapped my hands. "We'll see," I winked at her and left the locker room with Jessica.
"Rachel!" Kenneth called as we arrived at the court. I smiled at him and crossed my arms when I stopped in front of him. "Kenneth, my dear friend," I greeted him, and he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Is there something wrong?" he asked curiously. "Well, I appreciate your nagging about Caleb, but I think yours had gotten too far," I sternly informed him. He kept his brows furrowed and tried to think of what I was saying. "Can you explain it further?" he asked, and I nodded. "Your lovely girlfriend has been bothering me for the past two days. Earlier, Sabrina and her friends did something I hate," I explained. "Which is?" he asked, anticipating the continuation of my story. "Dumping trash into my innocent locker. Now, it stinks, and some of my things there are dirty," I continued with anger. Sabrina and her minions arrived at the court, and Kenneth looked at her. "Would she do that?" he asked while keeping his eyes on Sabrina. I could see a bit of disappointment in his eyes.
"Don't believe me, then. I just wanted to tell you about that. Also, I want you to tell your girlfriend that she and her friends will clean my locker with the students watching," I informed with pure seriousness. "Don't you think that's a bit too much?" Kenneth asked while looking into my eyes. "No, it's not. Not for me. People say I'm intimidating. Well, this is intimidating. I don't care if they will feel humiliated because that is my purpose," I answered him. "Rachel," he called softly, trying to calm me down. You may think I'm acting immature now, but Sabrina didn't let me rest because of her texts full of stupid things. "Kenneth, I don't take back my words, and you know I'm like this when I'm mad," I told him for the last time and walked away from him.
I then noticed that our classmates were looking at us, and thankfully, our teacher wasn't around. He asked Martin and Claire to take charge of today's class. "Are you okay?" Martin asked worriedly, and I gave him a small smile. When I sat on the bleachers, I saw Kenneth leaving with Sabrina. I really can't believe that girl. "Look, I won't stop you from doing something that would humiliate my cousin because she never cleans. So, yeah. Your punishment could be a lesson to her about cleaning," Claire cheered me up, and I lightly chuckled at what she said.
KENNETH'S POV
When Rachel walked away, I walked toward Sabrina and pulled her out of the court. I deeply sighed as soon as we were outside. "Do you believe her?" Sabrina asked. "Is there a reason not to?" I softly responded, and she scoffed in frustration. "You actually believed those things she said about me?!" she yelled, and I closed my eyes to calm down. This situation is not getting any better. "Look, Sabrina. I know her better than I know you, and Rachel wouldn't lie about those things," I said, looking straight into her eyes. It's true. Rachel lies sometimes, but those are about little things. When it comes to things like someone hurting her or bothering her badly, she would never lie about it. I also felt how mad she was earlier, which means that Sabrina was getting on her nerves.
"So, you would just let me get humiliated in front of those students?" Sabrina asked frustratingly. "No, I don't want that. But before Rachel does something she'll regret, just do what she said," I answered, and Sabrina chuckled frustratingly with tears forming in her eyes. I feel bad now. Why is this happening to me? *Sobs*
"FINE," she yelled in anger. "I'm not gonna lie, Sabrina. I am disappointed in you. I realized that Claire was right when she said you're two-faced," I told her and left her standing with her mouth agape.
RACHEL'S POV
Right after school, Sabrina walked toward me and insincerely volunteered to clean my locker. I smirked at her, knowing that Kenneth probably told her to do it. I watched them clean my locker and scold them when they did something wrong. For the 'students watching' part, I didn't invite students to watch, but instead, they encouraged themselves. They stopped walking and were confused and curious about the girls cleaning my locker. "I heard they dumped those garbage in Rachel's locker, and now, they're cleaning it," I heard a student say, and she laughed with her friends. Honestly, I feel bad about doing this, but I already asked them to do it.
Kenneth already left with Martin and Jeremy, so it's just me, Claire, and Jessica. I guess Kenneth doesn't want to talk about it. He knows I'm stubborn. "Is this your first fight with Kenneth?" Jessica suddenly asked. "No, this is nothing serious. We'll talk again after a few days," I answered. We fought once back in middle school. It was on the same level as this, but Kenneth was at fault. He said something that offended my feelings. "So you don't have a serious big fight yet?" Claire asked seriously, and I turned to her. "No. We never fought like that," I answered, and they nodded in understanding.
I don't think we'll have that kind of fight. We may not agree on some things, but we still respect each other's preferences. Now that they mentioned it, I'm suddenly worried about something that I don't think will happen soon.
