Raven's POV I know I'm sleeping. But as the worst tiredness has subsided, the sleep has become restless. I haven't been alone in a bed for a long time. And experiencing it now has convinced me - I'll never go back. Someone has untied me from my corset. But I'm still in my dress. It has tangled itself around my body, enclosing me like a straightjacket. I'm sweaty, and the room feels stuffy. I don't know what time it is. But there is no reason to remain in bed for a moment longer. No use when there is no Tim pressed up against my behind. I opened my eyes to a dark room, only to be surprised. The blue color scheme is nowhere near this bedroom. It's more like a deep green pine forest. I don't mind the darkness or feeling of being surrounded by trees. It reminds me of riding on Thor's back at home. Looking around the sparsely decorated room: I see a bedside table, a lamp, and a forest green plush armchair in the corner. In it is a bundle of brown locks fast asleep. Oh, s**t! I've taken Luna's bed and forced her to sleep in a chair. 'Great job, Raven!' I scoff to myself. The floor is cold under my bare feet as I stand and stretch my arms above my head. My dress had twisted around my torso and got stuck between my thighs. I pull to untangle myself as the door slides up. Silvereyes peers inside - scanning the room for movements before spotting me. 'Hi!' She whispered. 'You slept okay?' I gave her a quiet thumbs up as I managed to turn the arms around my skin, making the dress finally fall into place. I walked to the door with a sigh of relief. Silvereyes moved out of my way and closed the door behind me as I entered the Livingroom. 'God morning!' I yawned as I stretched my arms above my head. 'God day!' She chuckled. Her cheeks are red, and her hair is up in a messy messy bun. It's basically falling as we speak. 'Yeah-yeah!' I tell her with a tired smirk. 'What's your name again? I'm shitty with names, so I'll probably call you Silvereyes, but that doesn't mean I can't try to learn.' 'I'm Tina, Tobias's sister!' Silvereyes tells me as she turns and leads the way to the kitchen. 'Yeah, The-black-haired-boy!' I tell her as I follow suit. 'The-black-haired-boy?' 'Yeah, I'm shitty with names, remember?' I tell her with a frown. She laughs as we round the corner, and Doggie swoops her into his arms, making her giggle even harder. Silvereyes are pinned against the kitchen wall while he's running his nose up her neck. A light moan escapes her, and I can't help but grumble. 'Yeah, sure, rub it in my face. Stupid wolves!' 'Stop bitching, Raven! I've been watching you be all lovey-dovey with your mate for weeks.' Doggie huffed, his face still buried in the crook of her neck. Oh, so this is payback - is it? I'll show him! 'Hey, Tina! Has Doggie gone doggy on you yet? It's his specialty!' I smirk. I watch as Harry stops mid-motion. He freezes on the spot, and I let my eyes wander to observe Tina's as the words register. They flicker with silver, and my smirk widens into an evil grin. Never play catch with a witch, asshole! I see Harry hold his breath, waiting for Tina to take the lead. Her face scrunches as she thinks about it. She looks down at Harry, then back at me. I give her a nod and a wink, making her eyes widen in realization. 'How does she know that's your specialty?' Asked Tina with a threatening voice and a scowl before sending me a quick wink. 'She's a b***h, babe. Don't listen to her!' Harry growls as he kisses her skin desperately, trying to distract her. 'Love you too!' I yawned as I took a seat and leaned back. Tina doesn't seem that upset. She's just faking it to make him sweat, and I love her for it! Harry would have known as well if he'd looked up. She can barely hold the scowl right now. 'Yeah? You've f****d that b***h!' She said, somewhere between a huff and a snort of laughter. 'He sure did!' I sang merrily. 'Raven. Shut the f**k up!' Roared Harry as he snapped his head toward me with narrowed eyes. Harry's eyes turn dark as Jack takes over, snarling with his nostrils flaring. I look over at Silvereyes before we both burst out laughing like maniacs. 'Oh, calm down!' I laugh. As he looks between us. Harry's eyes return to normal as he grumbles over me being a stupid b***h. 'Don't be mean, babe! It was payback. She misses her mate! Surely you can relate?' Tina scowls for real this time. 'Aman to that, sister!' I said while lifting my hands like praising her. She winks my way. Doggie sighed and deflated as Tina wrapped her arms around him and kissed his cheek softly. 'f*****g great! Now you two are friends and ganging up on me...' * We had eaten and almost cleared the table as Stella came stumbling through the doorway. Her eyes were still closed, and her arms extended as she trailed along the walls, finding her way to the counter and grabbing a big mug in a cupboard. She grumbled a low 'good morning' as she poured herself some coffee and downed it with greedy gulps. Her face distorted as she spun around and spat the coffee back out, spraying it into the sink. 'I should have foreseen that!' Stella lamented. 'You should have!' Tina shrugged with a snicker at her friend. 'Shut it!' Stella hissed. 'It's your fault, screaming your head off and keeping me awake!' That makes Tina blush slightly, and I cackle like a crazy person. I haven't heard them, so I must have been out cold. But I wish I would have. I could have so much fun using it against Harry later on. 'Why not muffle their room?' I asked between laughter. Stella turned scarlet as she looked down and mumbled something under her breath. Her whole demeanor changed. Like if she could sink through the floor and disappear, she would. 'What?' I asked, looking between her and Tina. Tina's gaze is very sympathetic as she directs it toward Stella. 'What did I miss?' I wonder. 'I'm a wandering fortune cookie, Raven.' Stella exclaims. 'I'm not "really" a witch. Not a good one, at least. My spells rarely work, so I kind of gave up... That's why I have Tina and Mia. My ability is limited, but I'm important; Tina and Mia are my "servant."' Stella's face is a displeased frown at her last word. She's not considering them her property, even though The auroras expected her to. I half expected this. No one is allowed to have a wolf and human living in their home for no reason. Sure, The Varlett has wolves, but that's because they're an old family and can be traced all the way back to the creation of the order. I think there are like four more families left with that privilege. Wolves and bears are considered public property, allowed to bread only to help the Atra Aurora community. They protect the town. They serve in any way needed and clean up after all these hopeless witches as they play "take over the world" without care. Since meeting Lucas', I have only felt disgusted by my former home. I left Mum feeling heartbroken and scared, running like a rabbit with my heart in my throat. Lucas and the New Moon have lit a fire and a need to protect - something I haven't experienced before. Not for anyone else than myself. 'Then, you're no use to us, babe!' I shrug. 'I should drop you off at New Moon with Luna! For safe keeping.' Stella gapes like a fish at my statement. Tina looks apprehensive but not against it, and Harry seems to be on my side, one less person for us to protect while here. 'Eat! Then we'll discuss it. I need to drop Luna of soon, and I'd have no problem bringing you. New Moon would accept you. Right, Beta?' I state, turning to Doggie. 'We would!' Doggie confirms without hesitation. His tone and gaze are firm and decisive. His eyes cloud over for a brief second before returning to their usual blue with brown specs. I wait for him to tell me something. But instead of words, he nods a smirk my way. I feel a grin spread on my face. Our alpha is outside the perimeter. We're officially surrounded... * * * Stella's living room has turned into the resistance headquarters. I had this notion of it only being Stella and Tina on "our" side. But apparently, world domination by the hand of auroras doesn't sit right with more than just them. It's almost evening. Stella and Tina have spent the past hour fighting over whether Stella should stay or go. But I have little to no interest in their quarrel. I've said my opinion on the matter, so I've nothing more to add. Ian came back looking jaded. Dawn wasn't kidding when she said she hadn't had anything in weeks. He must have been at it all night and morning. With Ian came a bear the size of a mountain. His caramel skin made you want to lick him from his belly button to his square chin. You'd expect him to have black eyes matching his black curls. But his eyes are hazel - a sharp contrast to his dark hair and skin. Yet, beautiful. All others attending look rather plain in comparison. Most are wolves, and some are bears. Ten in total. But there is a couple of witches. The two women are whispering to one another in a corner as they steal glances at the caramel bear. As Stella poked her finger in Tina's chest, telling her she won't need a babysitter, another woman appeared, throwing herself at Ian as she begged his forgiveness. We all watched Ian hug her back as he buried his face in her hair, inhaling deeply. 'It's all right. I'm the one that's sorry!' Ian tried to reason with the now hysterically crying woman clinging to him as if her life depended on it. 'Calm down, Mo. It's almost over. Okay? Then I'll never have to do it again...' 'I know, I know!' The woman sobbed without showing any sign of letting him go. 'Come on, Mo. Stop crying. You know I hate it when you cry!' Ian cooed as he kissed her tears away. She giggled in his arms before drawing calming breaths. I watched Ian caresses big circles on her back, trying to help soothe her. I feel so bad for him and her. He has a mate and has been balls-deep in another woman all night. If Tim ever f****d another woman, I'd kill her on the spot, not even bothering to find out why. She wouldn't keep living to breathe the same air as him. I'm not sure what I would have done to him. It depends on the circumstances. However, thinking about it makes my blood boil. 'I'm staying!' Stella declared, making me cringe. 'No, you're not! Tina barked. 'Stella, just give up! I'm not in the mood for witch-sitting. Just go with Luna and be safe. You have done enough!' I stated, ending their discussion. 'Witch-sitting?' Tina smirked. 'Yeah! We have a man perfect for the job. He has already declared himself "witch-sitter" for life!' That made Doggie burst out with laughter. 'Kayden is perfect for the job!' He winked at Stella, making her cheeks blush. She huffed like a steam train but stopped arguing. Kayden will be ecstatic about witch-sitting yet another beautiful girl with magic powers. Luna came with a small backpack, ready to leave. Stella stopped towards her room to get her stuff. The woman clinging to Ian kissed his cheek before following Stella. I'm guessing she is helping her. Tina wrapped her arms around Harry, pulling him to introduce him to the people gathered. Ian grabbed his shoulder, squeezing it as he passed. 'It helped, thanks!' Harry nodded while giving him a wink. 'I'm happy to help! She's yours?' He asked, motioning for the woman who followed Stella. Ian smiled and nodded, his eyes shining with pride. 'She is!' I watched as Stella returned with the woman behind her. Her face is round and friendly - pretty, in an "I don't have to make an effort" way. Her eyes twinkle, and the corner of her lips pull up as she spots Ian. She seems familiar somehow. I Shook my head and cleared it from thoughts before I sang happily. 'You ladies ready to leave before all hell breaks loose?' Luna nods her head carefully, looking at me as if I'm going to turn her into a frog, while Stella huffs. She's mad, but this truly is for the best. I'm actually surprised Harry hasn't asked me to bring Tina - taking her away from this fight, protecting her. But I won't suggest it. We need all the fighters we can get. And It probably won't work anyway. Stella grabbed Luna's hand before grabbing mine, and I started my announcement with an excessive smile. 'Alright! Welcome to the Luna Express; I'd advise all "passengers" to keep their arms in while traveling. If you feel the urge to throw up, please wait until you have steady ground under your feet and aim for a trash can if possible! Thank you for choosing the Luna Express, now heading for New Moon pack house.' And with that, I wielded my wand, and we disappeared. We're sucked through nothing until standing in the New Moon foyer. Luna bent over, clutching her stomach as if holding in its content. 'Honey, I'm home!' I yelled at the top of my lungs into the emptiness before us. Stella stood and rubbed circles on Luna's back as she tried to soothe her as she gaged convulsively. In the blink of an eye, my mate bolted from the dining room. He lifted me into the air and smashed his lips on mine. I wrapped my arms and legs around him, clinging to him as If I hadn't seen him in weeks while he pinned me to the large double doors behind me. A groan escaped him while I sighed delighted into his mouth. I've missed him so much it hurt. My heart has been aching without him. And now I melted into his embrace while he devoured my lips in a breathtaking kiss, making my head spin. Somewhere in the distance, I hear someone squeal happily. But I couldn't care less about them. All I see is Tim. He sucks my lower lip into his mouth before kissing down my chin and jaw. He trails my skin with his lips until finding my hickey and darkening it firmly. I'm giddy from it all, panting as he keeps his lips on my skin and pushes up on me. He's rock hard, making me clench. 'I've missed you!' 'I've missed you too, little bird!' He growled, sending shivers down my spine. He finally eased up until he gently held me, nuzzling me softly. My fingers combed through his silky locks', pulling his head back to meet my eyes. Those beautiful baby blue looked at me with so much devotion it almost hurt my soul. I'm home. 'Do we have to wait until this is all over?' I whispered as I bit my lower lip and gazed at him through my lashes. A dark purr emerged as his eyes turned midnight. 'I'll take care of you, little bird!' Thor smirked before crashing his lips on mine, nipping my lower lip. 'There are people here!' A voice shouts at us, making us both growl in annoyance. Thor lets his enhanced aura slip making it pool in between my thighs. His voice is a deep command as he speaks up, answering whoever. 'Then leave!' There is a moment's pause where I kiss my way over his face until I capture his lips with mine. 'Seriously, not in the foyer!' Baby-Bossman growls at us, making Tim groan into my mouth. I giggle as I keep my lips on his and flip Baby-Bossman off. I'm not giving a s**t about his wishes. All I care about is the taste and feel of Tim. However, my mate decided to respect his friend and temporary alpha and carried me away, still wrapped around his torso. I moan as he pushes against me each time he takes a step, giving me some well-needed friction. As he starts going up the stairs, I suddenly remember my passengers and look over Tim's shoulder, yelling back at the group. 'Thank you for choosing the Luna Express! I'm just going to get my treasure box filled. Then I'll be back to say goodbye!'
