Chapter 004

Our pack was considered one of the strongest and most organized pack. We lived surrounded by a big and dense forest. After passing the forest you reached a human city. I used to hear that we were the only ones to be so near the humans. It was breathtakingly beautiful to watch as the sun rose or set every morning and evening from where our pack was located. Our pack was large, we covered many kilometers squared mostly covered by the forest it was a six hours drive from our pack to the human city. I liked to wander in the woods as I felt calmess wash over me. That day my mom offered to take me to school which was suspicious as I always went with my brothers or my father. She wasn't the type to go away from home but I remembered she had told me we needed to see someone. " By the way mom who are we going to visit early this morning?" I asked once we settled in the car. " Oh it's a friend sweet, she said she would live today and for a long journey but she insisted on biding her good bye to you so I wouldn't refuse her." She replied but I could feel she wasn't being totally truthful with me. I had learnt not to ask too many questions when my mother was keeping something from me as she was not a type of person to keep many things from me. " Honey?" I heard my mom calling she had even stopped the car. I looked at her she seemed very worried. What was the problem. " Mom what's the matter? Why do you look so worried?" I asked. She shook her head " Leira? " She paused and I waited to hear what was the reason of all that worry I could read on her face. " I have been talking to you for at least three minutes in which you didn't say anything, you seemed to be on an other planet, and you are asking me what is wrong while I should the one to ask you that same question right now." She let out everything without having any breath. " Wow mum calm down." Surprised that I didn't hear anything she had been saying all that time. " Last night I dreamt of a wolf to which I was incredibly attracted to. I only took a moment sometime ago to think about that. I didn't intend to scare you, it's just even remembering that dream took me to it again. I don't know I feel like I must get out right now and run over to school. " She cupped my face with her hands and told me to hang on that we hadn't time to waste otherwise she could explain to me but she said things were becoming urgent, she made me promise not to get mad at her but she would do some explaining after. I quickly agreed because she seemed to have her nerves on their peak. She left my face only to call someone. " Please be on your way to pick us it is advancing dangerously, I don't think I will be able to have any control in three hours to come."

"Okay right on my way, I guess you took the short road" an unknown voice responded " That road is near the school and the threat seems to be there. Do you think we will make it to you without her bursting? My mom asked. I shivered since from all those talkings it was clear they were talking about me. What was happening to me? It was true I was incredibly attracted to my school and I couldn't keep my ass in one place as I felt I needed to get out of that car but apart from that there was nothing to burst with me. " Take the rusk it is the quickest, and oh try to keep her mind busy talk about anything else apart from that and please don't open the window even the slightest open is not allowed you wouldn't be able to control anything if the smelling came in." She said and hung up immediately. By that time I was sweating badly sliding in my place as a crushing desire of getting out of that car was killing me. " Honey please trust me, everything is going to be okay. But for now I need you to tell me a story, any that you have learnt in classes or you saw or whatever you want but look at me only and talk to me". Her tone was urgent as if there was some lurking danger but I just did as I was told since I was being torn by that inexplicable force which was calling me out of the car that I had started to have a heavy headache. Gosh what was happening to me? I couldn't ask for explanation as I started to feel a little bit calmer as I narrated to my mum some random stories which I did know how managed to made me laugh looking at the chaos I just had in my body and mind. What was happening to me? I could feel something unclear voice inside me but it wasn't possible for me to have a wolf.Was it? I mean yes I was a werewolf supposed to have a wolf one day but that would happen on my eighteenth birthday. Everything was starting to get out of control. " Look at me honey and continue, your stories are amazing considering the situation we are in. My mother urged me snatching out of whatever thought I had started to have." Mum my friends are having conversations about this ma... Aaarg, aaargh" I cried out with pain using every fiber of my being to take my hand from my mother's. As if on cue, my mother hold my hand tightly as if her life depended on me staying in that car.
