Ayla’s POV The first day back at school after the Crimson Paw anniversary felt like walking into a different world. Every head turned when I stepped through the doors. The sound of chatter dipped, then picked back up, but slower, like they were making sure I could hear the whispers. Some smiled...fake, tight smiles that never touched their eyes.
