☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆DAWN☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ With a soft and sweet smile on his lips, Gulf placed the bowl of soup he had prepared on the table. Everything was already set. The plates were arranged neatly, the utensils were in place, and breakfast was ready. He had woken up early that morning to cook. He knew he had acted like a complete brat the night before. He had been angry, stubborn, and unreasonable. If he was being honest with himself, he had been acting that way for days. He always tried to make things right, yet somehow, he always ended up being a jerk again. Gulf shook his head and released a deep sigh. “Today, I'll behave.” At least, he hoped he would. He sat at the table and waited for Mew to come out of his room. A few minutes later, the bedroom door opened. Mew stepped out while struggling with his necktie. It was crooked and almost completely tangled. Gulf stared at him for a moment. Then he sighed. “Let me." Before Mew could respond, Gulf grabbed the tie from his hands. He knew it was a rude thing to do, but he couldn't help himself. One thing he couldn't stand was someone who couldn't handle even the simplest things. “It's just a tie. What's so difficult about it?” Mew raised an eyebrow. Gulf ignored him and carefully fixed the tie. “There.” He straightened it and stepped back. “Sit. Eat. And I don't want a ‘no’ this time.” He emphasized the last word. Mew immediately sat down. A secret smile appeared on Mew's lips. He hadn't realized Gulf could be this demanding. Even with his eyebrows drawn together and that irritated expression on his face, Gulf still looked incredibly handsome. Mew shook his head. I'm completely whipped. He chuckled softly. Gulf noticed it. “What?” Mew just smiled a bit and shook hi head. “Nothing.” Gulf asked raising his eyebrows. “Then why are you laughing?” Mew just looked at him amusedly. “Nothing.” Gulf rolled his eyes. “What are you waiting for? Do you want me to feed you? I told you to eat.” Mew smiled again. “What if I say yes? Would you?” Gulf's eyes widened. “f**k off!” He immediately returned to his food. Mew laughed softly before starting his own breakfast. He had a meeting to attend, so he ate quickly. However, from the corner of his eye, he noticed Gulf suddenly stop eating. “Mew.” Mew hummed and looked at him. Gulf hesitated. “Do you like men?” Mew stopped. For a moment, he simply looked at Gulf. Then he smiled. “Yes.” He casually shrugged and continued eating. But deep inside, he sense horses running. He's afraid of Gulf's reaction. “Yes, I am what you think I am.” He picked up his glass of milk. Gulf remained silent. Mew swallowed hard. He could already imagine the disgust in Gulf's eyes. “I’m done.” Mew stood and gave Gulf a soft smile. A smile that didn't even reached his eyes. He needed to leave before he could see that expression. He didn't want to see hatred or disgust on Gulf's face. It would hurt more than he wanted to admit. He reached for the door. But before he could open it, two strong arms suddenly wrapped around him from behind. Mew froze. Gulf froze too. Neither of them seemed to understand what had just happened. Gulf didn't know why he had done it. His body had simply moved before his mind could stop it. He had wanted to hug Mew. For no reason. He tightened his arms slightly. “Why?” Mew finally asked quietly. Gulf swallowed. “Five minutes.” That was all he could say. Mew closed his eyes. Then he nodded. “Okay.” He didn't move. For those few moments, neither of them spoke. Gulf rested his forehead against Mew's back and closed his eyes. There was something strangely comforting about the embrace. Something safe. Something familiar. Something he couldn't explain “Gulf.” Mew cleared his throat. “Five minutes have passed.” Gulf tightened his arms. “Forget the five minutes.” He pulled Mew toward the sofa. Mew stumbled slightly and ended up sitting beside him. “Just stay.” Mew stared at him. “What is wrong with you today?” Gulf frowned. “Will you shut up?" He looked away. Mew could see his face burning. “And stop ruining the moment.” Gulf added. Mew smiled. He had to admit it. He liked the embrace. More than he should. But he had work to do. He gently removed Gulf's arms and stood. “I don't know what's gotten into you, but I can't stay. I have a lot of work to finish.” Gulf glared at him. If looks could kill, Mew would probably have been dead already. “I have to go.” Mew turned around. He didn't want to leave. But he really had no choice. “You don't like it?” Gulf asked out of nowhere. Mew stopped. “What?” “What I did earlier.” Gulf's voice was quieter now. “You hated it?” Mew rubbed his face before turning around. “I loved it.” Gulf looked at him. He could see random emotions right through Gulf's eyes. “But I have work. Can't you understand?” He said softly. And looked at Gulf's eyes firmly. Gulf looked away. “Wait for me.” Mew raised an eyebrow. He was about to ask again when Gulf speak again. “Five minutes.” Before Mew could answer, Gulf stood up and began clearing the table. He placed the dishes in the sink and quickly disappeared into his room. Mew shook his head. “Unbelievable." He pulled out his phone and called the person who had organized his meeting. His secretary was on leave, so he had to handle everything himself. “Please tell the board I'll be late. I'll be there in a few minutes.” The person on the other end hesitated. “Sir... your father is here too.” Mew immediately massaged his temple. “What is he doing there?” His father being there meant trouble. A lot of it. Mew and his father had not had a proper relationship for years. “I don't know, sir. But he seems to be in a good mood.” “Okay. Just prepare all the documents I'll need. I'm coming.” He ended the call. Before he could call Gulf, he noticed someone standing beside him. He turned. Gulf was wearing a white V-neck shirt, faded jeans, and white sneakers. His hair was messy. He looked effortlessly handsome. “You're late.” Gulf beamed. He walked toward the door and looked at Mew who was just still standing in the living room. “Let's go.” Gulf put his hands together on his hips and gesture Mew to follow him. Mew just smiled and followed him. They reached the elevator. Mew pressed the button. When they reached the parking area, they entered his car. Mew started the engine. “Where do you want me to drop you?” He asked while starting to drive. “I'm not going to school.” Gulf said like it was just nothing. Mew glanced at him. “Then where do you want me to take you?” “I'll go with you today.” Gulf said and rolled his eyes. Mew immediately stepped on the brakes. Fortunately, there was no vehicle directly behind them. “What?” Gulf frowned. “Do you want us to die?” He pointed toward the road. “Drive properly.” Mew shook his head and started the car again. “What did you say?” He asked making sure he heard Gulf right. “I said I'm going with you today.” Gulf crossed his arms. “You can't stay at the condo alone, so I'm coming.” Mew looked at him. “Gulf, you're not sick.” He reached over and touched Gulf's forehead. Gulf immediately slapped his hand away. “Just drive." Then he frowned. “You're already late, and you're driving too slowly. Mew sighed. He didn't understand Gulf at all. But he was already late. He didn't have time to argue. When they arrived at the office, Gulf looked around. “Your office?” Mew nodded. He retrieved an envelope from a secured compartment. “Yes. Just stay here. I'll be in a meeting.” He didn't wait for Gulf's response. He hurried inside. He was already twenty minutes late. Fortunately, the traffic hadn't been too bad. Otherwise, he would have been in serious trouble. The meeting began. For several hours, Mew sat with the board members and discussed business matters. His phone kept vibrating in his pocket. One of the board members finally noticed. “Mr. Santander, it seems important. We won't mind if you take five minutes to answer it.” “If it's business-related, we understand,” his father added. Mew nodded and excused himself. The moment he stepped outside, his phone rang again. He looked at the caller ID. Gulf. He answered. “Yes?” “What took you so long?” Mew sighed. “What's wrong?” “I'm sleepy.” There was a pause. “Don't you have a couch?” Gulf asked again. Mew chuckled. “Did you eat lunch?” “Yes. I ordered earlier.” “Good.” “Now, where's the couch?” Mew smiled. “Go to the bathroom. You'll see a large mirror. Pull it upward." Gulf was silent. “There's a hidden door behind it. That's my private room. There's a bed inside. You can rest there.” Gulf hummed. “Okay.” Then he ended the call. Mew stared at the phone. He shook his head. “Brat.” Five hours later, the meeting finally ended. All the board members had already left. Only Mew and his father remained in the conference room. Mew was exhausted. He was also starving. His father looked at him. “So, what happened? Did you finally come to your senses?” Mew remained expressionless. This was their first meeting in five years. He knew his father had never forgiven him. He also knew that forgiveness was probably not coming anytime soon. “What do you want?” His father's expression hardened. A loud slap echoed through the room. Mew's jaw stung. He wanted to react. But he refused to give his father the satisfaction. “You know what I want!” His father stood. “And yet you continue to defy me! Me, your own father!” “Because what you're asking me to do is against the law.” Mew's voice remained calm. “I was only trying to fix the mess you created years ago.” His father roared and pointed at him using his baston stick. “What happened back then is none of your concern!” He replied raising his voice and slammed the table. His father struck him again. Mew clenched his jaw. “I didn't raise you to be soft-hearted.” His father's voice was cold. “Be a man and finish what you started.” Mew shook his head. A bitter smile crossed his lips. He had idolized his father when he was young. To him, his father had once been the greatest man in the world. A respected government official. A strict but loving father. But everything changed after the accident. His father changed. The gentle man Mew had known became someone else. And Mew had followed his father's wishes for years. Until he finally saw the darkness behind them. That changed him too. For the better. At least, that was what he believed. “I won't let you dictate my life anymore.” Mew looked directly at him. “You do what you want. I'll do what I believe is right.” He turned and walked away. He was tired. Tired of his father's demands. Tired of the arguments. Tired of living according to someone else's expectations. He only wanted to live a normal life. With a heavy heart, he opened the secret door and found the man he had been protecting for years. The sight of him instantly softened something inside Mew. He smiled quietly, reached out, and gently caressed Gulf’s hair. “Defying him means being with you. And I don’t mind that at all,” he whispered to the sleeping man. A soft chuckle escaped his lips. “What kind of witchcraft did you use to make me fall so hopelessly in love with you?” He leaned down and pressed a tender kiss to Gulf’s forehead before closing his eyes for a moment. He pulled the chair closer to the bed and sat beside him, simply watching him sleep. He had been hungry earlier, but the moment he saw Gulf lying peacefully in his bed, somehow, his hunger disappeared. Fucking lovesick. Mew chuckled under his breath as he continued staring at him. I promise, I’m here. He didn’t know how long he had been watching when Gulf finally stirred. “What are you staring at?” Gulf grunted and rubbed his sleepy eyes. Mew immediately sighed and stood, clearing his throat as he motioned for Gulf to get up. “No. I’m hungry.” Mew said nothing. Instead, he reached into his pocket and took out his phone. He already knew how Gulf ate. The man could practically eat every few minutes. Well, Mew had been watching him from afar for years. He knew more about Gulf than he would ever admit. “I ordered some food. You can rest again. I’ll wake you when it arrives.” Gulf furrowed his brows and rolled his eyes. “Are you avoiding me?” Mew froze for a second and bit his lip. How did he even know? His father was still at the company. He had to be careful. The last thing he needed was for anyone to discover where his heart truly belonged. “No, of course not. Why would I?” he replied, clearing his throat. But even to his own ears, he sounded defensive. Fucking observant. “Tsk. Anyway, sit down.” Gulf lightly tapped the space beside him on the bed. Mew followed, but instead of sitting where Gulf had indicated, he carefully sat at the edge, leaving a noticeable distance between them. “I... I—ah, I have something to—” Gulf suddenly looked away and scratched the back of his neck. Mew couldn’t help but chuckle. He found the gesture ridiculously cute. He still couldn’t believe that one person could be this beautiful, this adorable, and this impossible to resist all at once. Gulf stopped talking and kicked him lightly. Mew blinked. The familiar crease between Gulf’s brows had returned. All right. He’s back. Mew straightened himself and gave Gulf his full attention. “Dimwit! I’ll let you sleep with me!” Gulf declared, rolling his eyes. Mew froze. Completely. Gulf’s words had caught him so off guard that, for a moment, he forgot how to breathe. He couldn’t believe what he had just heard. Only a few weeks ago, Gulf had hated him with every ounce of his being. They could barely stand to be in the same room without arguing. And now— Now Gulf was inviting him to stay beside him. Mew searched for something to say, but his mind had suddenly gone completely blank. His heart, however, had no intention of staying quiet. It was pounding so hard against his chest that he was almost certain Gulf could hear it. He simply stared at him, mouth slightly open and eyes wide with disbelief. Seeing Mew’s stunned expression, Gulf rolled his eyes and shook his head. “i***t,” he murmured. But his gaze lingered on Mew’s lips. For a moment, neither of them spoke. The room suddenly felt too quiet. Too warm. Too intimate. Gulf’s eyes softened, and before Mew could understand what was happening, Gulf leaned closer. In one swift movement, he closed the distance between them and pressed his lips against Mew’s. Mew’s breath caught. Every thought disappeared. In the room, the only sounds were their soft, breathless moans and the quiet rhythm of their breathing. They kissed without hesitation, neither of them willing to be the first to pull away. Their arms tightened around each other, holding on as though they had been waiting years for this moment. Every touch felt familiar despite how new it was, as if their hearts had somehow known each other long before they were ready to admit it. When they finally broke apart for a breath, their foreheads rested against each other. Their eyes met, both filled with the same unmistakable longing. Neither of them spoke. They didn’t need to. The way they looked at each other said everything their lips were still too afraid to say. Gulf closed his eyes and slowly sat on Mew’s lap, his heart pounding as he wrapped his arms around him. He leaned closer, their bodies pressed together, and rested his forehead briefly against Mew’s. Mew’s breath hitched at the sudden closeness. He instinctively held Gulf around the waist, as though afraid that letting go would make the moment disappear. Gulf leaned toward his ear, his voice barely above a whisper. “I want you so badly.” The words sent a shiver through Mew. He pulled Gulf closer, their eyes meeting in a quiet moment filled with everything they had been too afraid to say. For once, neither of them tried to hide what they felt. Mew pressed Gulf's body to his and buried his face on Gulf's neck. He lick it nonstop and whispered. “f**k… I want you so badly, baby. I wanna bury my thing inside you, so f*****g hard." Gulf just moaned. With that, he pulled him closer and kissed him passionately, as though there were no tomorrow. Every kiss carried the longing they had kept buried for so long, leaving neither of them willing to pull away.
