31 ALLIES It took Syrina two days to get a ship. Longer than she’d have liked. It was a small, fast sloop with the inscrutable name Tar’s Gamble, easy enough to crew with the four of them as long as one of them was Ves and they didn’t hit any storms. Ves had complained about “another f*****g sailboat,” but it didn’t stop him from taking over as erstwhile captain as soon as they were all aboard.
