It was nearing evening, and both Ruby and Whitney were restless and utterly bored for being indoors all day. The guard outside had kindly told them they can't wander around today, it was "alpha's orders." Whitney tossed a pastry into her mouth with a dramatic sigh.
“Please tell me that is not another kitchen girl,” she muttered as a knock sounded at the door. “I swear I love their food, but at this point, they need to stop feeding me. I’m starting to feel like a pampered pet.”
