Portsmouth Evening News – Late Edition Portsmouth Evening News – Late EditionBody Found in Pavilion of Southsea Cricket Club Body Found in Pavilion of Southsea Cricket ClubCrowds gathered late this afternoon outside the chain-link fence of the Southsea, seafront Cricket Club where, on the pavilion deck, the place where batsmen wait to be called to the crease, the body of a man with reportedly three cricket stumps in his chest, was found. The victim, not yet identified, was discovered by the club steward, Tim Bolling, known locally as Spin, when he opened up to take a delivery of cheese-and-onion crisps, a popular savoury snack amongst the Southsea cricket cognoscenti and, Kate and Sidney pies, for the Southsea Tubbies. Police are asking for people with any information to come forward.
