I’m standing in the guest bedroom amid stacks of boxes. Aiden and I moved into our new home last month, and everything has been put away and organized, except for what’s in this room. Of course, this is the place where all the boxes of randomness that we didn’t feel like going through were shoved. I sigh. One box at a time. I’ve got this. Normally, Aiden would be helping me, but he’s at work. After he graduated in May, he got a job working for a prestigious finance firm, which is where he did his internship the prior semester. I haven’t had my teaching certificate transferred over from Texas. I will at some point, but it just hasn’t been on the top of my priority list.
