Emma’s POV:
Today was my first day in the new school, and also the start of my second year in high school. It’s for Wealthy kids and I was only able to get there because I got a scholarship being the top student in my previous school.
I wasn’t really excited cause even thought I didn’t have any friends before at least I never got bullied, and all I heard about these rich kids is them being all judgy and cruel around common-school’s kids. And being an orphan defiantly not going to make it any better.
Shrugging of all the negativity and bad thoughts, I got off of bed but not before I kissed my favorite bellow “Marsh-B”. He is my knight warrior, always protecting me while I sleep, and I named him “Marsh-B” because he is basically a marshmallow bellow.
I started preparing myself for school. Carefully moving around the house not making any noises because MR. Travis hate it, even if it’s just a footstep sound. Sometime you’d think that ghosts live here not humans.
I passed few other kids moving all silently reaching the house door all leaving for schools. And it seems I’m not the only one skipping breakfast, no one wants to face Mr. Travis in the morning and be his first victim of the day. So, we all try to escape before he is a wake.
Being the top student I am. I already memorized my way to school from the orphanage because I don’t want to be late in my first day leaving a bad impression, sometimes I think I’m a perfectionist. Don’t judge me! when you have no one to support you when you mess up, then you better not mess up at all.
I reached the school gate and went straight to the receptionist. “hi, I’m Emma” I said. “hello Emma, I’ve heard about you, the scholarship girl am I right?” she asked me and I just nodded my head.
“well darling here is your schedule and here is the school’s map, I hope you have great experience in our school” she smiled at me lively and I gave her a smile in return. Walking around the huge hallways of the school I was able to find my first class pretty easily. I passed many kids reaching here but nobody seems to notice my existence, not even when I went inside the already full of student class and reached for the last table to sit down. Not that I wanted them too! I just had this comical nightmare of me getting bullied once I reached the school, but turns out no one really care, which works perfectly for me.
I got my math book and my notes ready for the class, noticing that MR. cuddle almost falling out of my bag so I pushed him further down. Don’t want anyone to see him and start calling me names.
And just like that, the first day at school went really well for me, unnoticed. Just how I like it.
