If there was one important lesson James had learned from college, it was to be prepared for anything. He never went to class without reading the assigned chapters in case of a pop quiz. He always researched his papers in as many offline sources as possible in case one of his professors got a bug up his ass about internet sources. And with Kurt he had learned that the only way to achieve even a semblance of patience was to take the edge off himself—as often as possible and as close to their meeting time as he could manage without jerking off in the hallway outside his door.
