My twenty-first birthday changed my life again. Chloe had obtained an acceptance to go to the local University where she intended to study geology of all things! Ann also attended, but on very different courses, she studied Art and the History of Art. As for me, I finally got the promotion I had been angling for, so now I was the assistant to the main tester for the computer company I worked for. This entailed sitting mostly at the same workbench, doing exactly what I had been doing for the previous six months, but with the added bonuses of being involved in the Research and Development of new Control Systems (R&D).
