"I was under the impression you'd already departed," I confessed.
He shook his head, a grimace on his face. "I'm not going to abandon you. "Even if we had a major disagreement, I would never abandon you," he assured her.
When he looked me in the eyes and said something true, I believed him. Due to his unwillingness to depart before his mission was completed, the only way I could get him to do so was if I had him moved. As I wrapped my arms around his neck, a happy smile appeared on my face.
"Thank you," I said, my voice soft and sincere.
"You are under no need to thank me, Baby Girl." he kissed me softly on the lips with his lips bent, then pulled back after a fraction of a second. My reaction was too late; he lifted himself up off of me and straddled my hips as he smirked
