When Peter and Dean showed up, we all made our way to the elevator, where Peter briefed us on the security procedures in use at the building. The sole way in and out was via the fire escapes, which could only be reached from the interior. This would be advantageous for monitoring purposes because there was only one route in and out. There was no other way to enter the building but with a tag card, and then you needed a pass code in order to use the elevator or stairwells. There had obviously been a lot of thought put into the site of the construction.
