/Jane/ I stood there staring at the door, wishing he'd come back in and yell at me some more, to tell me that I'd upset him but that he'd been too hasty in leaving. He, on the other hand, did not return. As my heart dropped, my entire body felt as if it were about to freeze. It was at this point that my eyesight went a bit fuzzy, and I realized that I was on the verge of crying.
