Laurent let me walk alone when I said I need it. After they all made sure that there are no more vampires in Great Oaks and that the barrier is stronger than ever, I felt safer. I guess Laurent felt the same when he let me walk alone. I wouldn't have to worry about some random vampire appearing in front of me and then taking me somewhere. At least that's just for now.
I am certain they are going to find a way with the looming war with the vampires. It is indeed obvious that the vampires are preparing for war and the barrier hopefully buys us time to figure something out.
