“Watch it, moron! Can’t you see people are walking here?” Marden snapped at the man who had just bumped into him, almost dropping the pile of boxes he was carrying. Despite the stranger apologizing a few times, Marden couldn’t stop his annoyed grumbling. As they continued down Ruby Street toward the brothel, he noticed his two bodyguards giving him weird looks. “What?”
“You seem to be in a really nasty mood, boss,” the bigger of the two said in a low, growly voice. “Did anything happen?”
“Nothing happened!” Marden snarled, speeding down the street. He glared at the towering yellow building next to him before climbing the steps leading to the front door. He almost ran into one of the hostesses as he barged inside, wincing when she sqealed in surprise.
