“I love you,” Kassian whispered, kissing the top of her head. Raena turned to look at him, narrowing her eyes. They had taken a comfortable, though not very appropriate, position in one of the drawing rooms—him sitting in the corner of a sofa and her leaning against his chest while reading a book. She was used to him striding into the room and making himself comfortable somewhere close to her. At least this time, he didn’t insist on holding her on his lap.
