Merideth I can almost feel the shock on my face as this masked stranger said my name. How the heck does he know my name? Wait I'm the Princess of Wiyelt of course he knows but why was he in the middle of a terrorist attack? Is he part of them? No that can't be right, after all he was helping me and although the mask looks like that of the bad guys, it was of an entirely different design? But what the heck? Does he usually carry masks with him wherever he goes? Unless he knows about the attack. But why didn't he say something to the authorities? Or was he escaping from the authorities. I was almost mumbling aloud because of the amount of questions I had at his sudden appearace however, before I could continue falling into the deep end he took a hold of my hand and proceeded to unlock the handcuffs which gave me freedom. I looked at him dumbfounded. "Why the face? You wan't to be cuffed?" he said teasingly and if I didn't have self-control I would be very glad to rip that teasing smile off his smug half covered face. As if sensing my repressed aggression he had the nerve to laugh. I glared at him and we were stuck for a few minutes just staring at each other.  "Okay okay I'm not going to tease you anymore. Let's get you out of here." he said after the long silence and held his hand out for me. I looked at him skeptically before grabbing his hands and stood up. Once I was standing, only then did I notice that there was a pile of bodies around us. I sucked in a breath as I take in the sight. This guy must have seen my expression because he tried to block the view of where the bodies were scattered around. I looked at his indifferent face and couldn't help but question. "Were you the one that did this?" I asked and he didn't even flinch. "They deserved it Merideth. They killed people for their own selfish reasons and hurt you." he said as if it was simple and he didn't just commit m*********r. I was beginning to feel scared because what if he does something to me? I can defend myself but he can kill a lot of armed men in seconds what can I do against him? "Merideth please don't be scared of me. I won't hurt you, trust me." he looked pained that I can't help but want to trust him. He must have noticed the shift in my face because the pain went away and he was back to neutral. "Come on we got to go. They could send someone here again and I don't want to deal with a horde of these pests again." he said with so much spite as he took two of the guns those guys had and handed one to me. I looked at him confused then to the weapon he handed me. Was he making me do what I think he was doing? "I know you can use a gun Merideth. Take it, we'll need it. I still don't know how many of them are here but I'm sure there's a lot of them left." he said before swinging the gun to his shoulders as he navigate through the pile of bodies. I feel like I should feel something but I don't know if it was shock or what but I can't seem to care as I followed out of a jewelry store where I was put in. We began walking and I can't help but feel scared seeing as the place was silent as if there was no one here. I suddenly felt shivers as I think about my classsmates and what could've happened to them. This guy must have noticed because slowed down to match with my pace. "Look, don't be worried about your friends. I saw everybody being held hostage on the main square of the mall and some open parts of the mall. Other than a few people that got caught on the first rain fire, everybody is pretty much safe, for now atleast." he said and continued to peer around for enemies. At his words, I can't help but feel relieved. "Wait does that mean you saw where they were hostaged? How come you know?" even though he saved me I still can't trust him. Not only did I not know his face but he was also that guy that left me with problems for the whole week. He stopped walking to look at me before his eyes narrowed behind the mask and he raised his gun and pointed it at me. I was alarmed because was this it? But before I could think of raising my gun too he let go of the trigger and the bullet went past me and hit someone behind me as the body fell with a thud. I look at him then behind me as I saw a guy close to me and was probably going to attack me. "Look, I know you can't trust me and I can't make you believe in what I say, but just know what I said earlier was true. I will never hurt you nor people that don't deserve it." he said as continued to walk away. I followed after him, almost guilty at what he said. We were stuck in silence as we navigate in the big mall. "Look ummm, I'm sorry but you know you can't blame me for not trusting you right? I mean I don't even know what you look like nor what your name is. Also given the fact that we only met on that ball and then you vanished and then you suddenly show your face in the middle of a terrrorist attack which really makes me question your credibility." I don't know why I was explaining this much but I am certain that his lips quirked up a bit at my explanation. I shut my mouth to prevent me from blurting any more embarrassing stuff. "I know and I'm not forcing you to trust me but at least believe what I said and let me bring you to safety." he said and before I could reply, I saw a silhouette behind one the pillars raising a gun at this guy and by instinct I jumped on him which made us fall on the floor and miss the bullet. He looked at me surprised before there were more series of bullets coming our way. I buried myself to his chest as he rolled us to one of the tables to hide and pressing me into him, uncaring about our comprosing position because I don't really have a choice now do I? This guy, frick it I'm going to call him Cloud because there's one in his mask, I think. I know there's a Rose but that feels a little too soft for someone like him so Cloud it was. Anyway, Cloud lifted his gun and began shooting too. I gently pried myself off of his chest and risked a peek to see that there were 3 no 4 guys surrounding us. Groaning a bit, I lift the gun that was handed to me earlier and began shooting too because its do or die now. Cloud looked at me surprised as I hit 2 of the guys as he finished the other 2 too. "What?" I breathed out because I didn't know I was holding my breath when I did that. He just stared at me before removing me from his lap which by the way I only remembered which made me blush. "Nothing, I just thought you wouldn't actually shoot." he said before dusting off and scanned the place more just to make sure, before standing up. I scoffed as he offered his hand but I didn't take it this time because I can stand up on my own. "And if I didn't? You could end up shot and then I'll have no choice either way but to do it anyway and then after that I have to think of how to drag you along with me while injured and bloody and I don't want that to happen now can I?" my sassy self is coming out due to the amount of stress I'm currently experiencing. Because of my stress and panic, I didn't notice the soft smile on his face. When I did manage to go out of my panic, the smile was gone and was replaced with a blank look as he just nodded before grabbing my hand and dragging me to the east side heading to the main square where the people were hostaged. I just hope they're okay in there.
