Just as Layla was about to open the door, Carlos reached for it and shut it. She slowly raised her head to stare at him. He could see the tears at the corner of her eyes.
"I'm sorry" he apologized.
She lowered her head, driving back the tears.
"Do not cry please" he said as he was starting to feel pain already.
She gave a fake smile and left the office.

Carlos gasped and walked away. He headed back to his seat and waited for his next meeting.

Layla saw Pablo downstairs. It was as if Pablo was expecting Layla to be yelled at. He just silently open the door of the car for her to get in. She did and sat down silently.
