CHAPTER THREE:ALMOST THERE My train of thoughts were cut off short when the car stopped moving.I looked by the window and knew we were in church. Those who saw the decorations, ribbons and balloons were left with their eyes open."This must be very very expensive.Dad must be rich,"I quietly thought as I looked around.I did not notice that every one was out of the car and were in a line by the porch only after someone pulled me by my hand."There is no more time for this,my dear gorgeous princess,"a masculine voice sayed."How dare you call me a princess. What are you trying to do?Who let you in here? This is not your wedding nor does it relate to you"I said confidently."Do you know who I am?"he inquired from me.He turned back and looked at me.He streched his hand and raised my chin.He looked at my eyes and then!!! I knew him.He was a footballer and a basketball player in our high school. He was very handsome but yet a playboy.Which ever girl saw him, fell for him, except for a poor unworthy girl like me. I was nervous but I knew he would take an advantage from that. There was deep silence and I decided to crack the silence with a thud and told him,"Even if you were the son to the billionaire or the son to the most powerful and a rich king,I will not and never let you ruin my happy day.Don't you try to think that this is school where you can bully me easily and use me up.Today means alot to me and my mom.I don't want to hear her scold me and see her cry.Let it not come in your mind the thought of aching my heart by destroying this day or else I'll get the hell out of you and teach you an endless life lesson." From my courage and the look from his eyes,I knew how big I shocked him."How could this day-to-day dumbstruck girl leave me speechless? How can it even be vice versa?"he thought. He was amused but delighted of me.I raised my left brow, turned back and left him gazing at me leading my way to where mother and her maids were standing. We were waiting for a voice from church to welcome us in. And Peekaboo!!!He called out.He welcomed us and told all to be at their respective seats,at serenity as they watched us enter. We,on the other side, were to be received by the groom, his son or daughter if he had one,and his men as well. After being silent that a pin drop could be heard,my mother's silver heels interrupted as she walked towards the man of her life. She moved and walked deliberately with undivided perfect moves. She swayed her hips from right to left, gradually and in an organised manner,as she moved with the exact music beat.
