Chapter 13: HalloweenA few weeks went by without any more issues. I saw the psychiatrist that Lucinda recommended, and, sure enough, I had depression. They called in a prescription for some mild antidepressants, and I began taking them. I didn’t feel different at first, but Elyse commented that I seemed more confident, and not as easily down in the dumps. She also said I was making decisions more easily. I got a C on one of the assignments in Professor Walsh’s class, and normally I would be devastated. It’s not like I didn’t care, but I felt like I was able to deal with it. It was a nice feeling.
