CHAPTER 8Cuddy arrived at work the next day with renewed determination. Yesterday at Somerset Station he had been overcome with desperation, but during a sleepless night, he had decided that his fate was in God’s hands and that he needed to continue helping organizations to raise funds through New Visions until the very end. His methods would be criticized, but no one could deny his intentions were good. He immediately went to see Melinda to share his latest plans.
“What happened to you yesterday?” Melinda asked as soon as Cuddy entered her office.
“I got held up at a horrible incident on the Market-Frankford Line after I left Salida del Sol.”
“What incident?”
“A young woman jumped in front of the train as it was pulling into the Somerset.”
