Kari watched as Tribble’s eyes darted around the room and gave each agent a perplexed look. Kari, Becca, and Bryant Duffy. Three on one. They agreed that making their interviewee feel a bit intimidated wouldn’t be a bad thing. Was she innocent or was she complicit in the charity Ponzi scheme? That’s the question they were trying to determine. After the last proffer, when CeCe Mullins had implied that much of the blame for the Foundation of New Visions in Giving should be placed squarely on Melinda Tribble, they’d made a quick phone call, and Tribble had agreed to speak with them. She did not ask, and Kari had no obligation to suggest Tribble bring her own attorney along for the interview.
