I locked the door behind me, not wanting anyone to wander inside. I never felt more alone than at that moment. Lucas was always by my side. I walked to my bedroom to put some clothes on. The entire house was quiet. I made my way back downstairs and grabbed some snacks in the kitchen. I needed to get some work done, to keep my mind distracted. I haven’t looked at the books much lately. Lucas kept me busy, distracted. I missed him, I was used to having him here all the time. I know we need to talk tomorrow.
