Fridays hold a special appeal for me, primarily because it is the day when students typically depart from school rather than linger. They often choose to go shopping, visit Starbucks, or find a place to socialize and revel in the onset of the weekend.
This sentiment became evident as soon as I entered the school library. Only a small number of students occupied the space. Usually bustling with students engaged in their homework, the library was notably quieter, as many understood they had the entire week ahead to complete their assignments. Those present were either engrossed in reading or diligently studying. In contrast, my purpose for being there was simply to pass the time.
