Adam’s Pov On Friday morning, Amanda wouldn't stop bringing up the party once more. It was a bit of a challenge since we were both in the same Spanish class, and to make matters worse, she had taken the seat right next to mine. "Why does it even matter if Essel is coming or not?" she pressed. "It'll be more enjoyable if she's there," I replied casually. "We always have a blast at parties when we're together." Amanda chuckled lightly and said, "Don't be so pathetic." I stared at her, taken aback, unsure if her laughter was meant to be funny or if she felt sorry for me. "I hate to say it, but you need someone to be honest with you," she added. "And you are. You're acting pathetic. Want my advice?" In that moment, I found myself wishing I could block out her voice, let alone her advice.
