Adam’s Pov
There you are! Where did you go this morning? I heard Essel as she plopped down in the seat beside me. We shared nearly all our classes, so I really should have known I couldn't escape her.
We were in English class, and Mr. Frank allowed us to choose our seats, which meant Essel and I always ended up next to each other.
"Hey, you left this at my place," Essel said, handing me my boxer shorts that she had taken from me months ago.
"What the heck, Essel!" I quickly grabbed shorts and shoved it into my bag, hoping no one else in the class noticed.
"What?" she asked, laughing.
Was this all just a joke to her? How could she find humor in this? She had cheated on Michael with me, not to mention her best friend!
I could feel my face getting hot.
