You took your time, Andoh.
I am astonished to find her still at the coffee shop after two hours of solitude.
"Essel, you waited for me?" I inquire, my surprise evident in my tone.
The warm smile she initially offered remains on her face.
"I couldn't leave, even if I wanted to," she replies.
Rising from her seat, she unexpectedly embraces me.
"You had me worried; I feared something might have happened to you. I thought you could have been in an accident or in legal trouble again. Michael, I was genuinely concerned," she expresses hurriedly, her hold on me firm.
I place my arms around her, and she relaxes into my embrace.
