“Where are you, Essel?” Ella inquired over the phone.
I pressed a few white keys before responding. “I’m at Michael’s. I apologize for not being able to come to work. I accidentally drenched him with water, and he has been sneezing ever since.”
Michael and I selected the Fraser Fir and returned home. The owner of the tree farm is a friend of my father’s, and he kindly agreed to deliver the tree to Michael’s residence. He mentioned it would arrive in a few days.
