I quietly express my need for a drink before rising from my seat.
"Essel?" Ella calls out, prompting me to turn back.
"Yes?" I respond.
"Remember to enjoy life a little," she advises.
With a sigh, I make my way to the kitchen. Fortunately, the boys had already replenished the drinks. I selected the strongest option available and downed it in one swift motion before pouring myself another. I did not intend to react the way I did with Ella, but she was aware that the topic she raised would be challenging for me. I comprehend her intention, yet I find that enjoyment often leads to more serious matters.
Upon returning outside, I spotted Ella perched atop the rocks, engaged in conversation with Joshua, Latif's closest friend. I navigated through the crowd until I reached them.
