Pearl’s P.O.V.
I opened my eyes slowly and groaned in pain. My whole body was aching so badly. I felt drained of energy but somehow alive. I looked around and found myself in Ruth’s bedroom. I recalled my last memories. I remembered talking with Kara about our next plan and then she asked me to let her take control from there and she made me sleep inside my mind. “Kara… what happened?” I tried to call her but didn’t get any answer. I panicked when I didn’t feel her. “Kara”, I yelled again inside my mind but there was nothing. I tried hard to remember what happened after that but there was no memory.
I looked around and found Ruth sleeping beside me peacefully. I narrowed my eyes when I felt his complexion a bit pale. There was not enough light in the room as the lights were switched off.
