At first, he thought he must have been imagining it, but as the ominous sense of dread bred within him, birthing itself and spilling out to taint the world around him, he knew that it wasn't his mind playing peek-a-boo with with reality— somebody was there!
It was male — that much he was sure. Tall, thin and even though he had to squint, he could just about make out dark hair and glasses. And then, as though noticing Aiden's newfound attention, the figure threw up a hand in a mock salute and turned around.
