Laiken; The alarm clock is probably the most annoying noise in the universe. It should be illegal to be up this early. I can't believe its already Monday, the weekend went by way too fast. After sneaking out of Dean's apartment, I came home to a worried but excited best friend. She was so proud of me for having my first one-night stand, but worried because she didn't know if I was alive or dead. My parents came to town and helped us out by getting us unpacked. They only stayed one night, but we got a lot done in one night. Before they left on Sunday morning, they took me and Courtnee out to breakfast. But back to today, I am not ready to start this day. I'm not ready to meet a bunch of new people. I roll out of my bed, and head to the bathroom to shower. As I am showering, Courtnee walks in and scares the crap out of me. "What are you doing?" "Well, you don't have to say it like that, I brought you coffee. Are you nervous for your first day?" "Thank you and yes, I am, and as much as I love our conversations while I'm showering, can I be alone? I am super nervous, and I just need some time by myself to calm myself down." Courtnee understood and left me to be by myself. I finished my shower and probably changed my outfit about 9 times before ending up with the outfit I first started with. Court wished me luck, gave me a coffee to go, and handed me her car keys since I don't have a new car yet. I feel like the drive to work wasn't long enough. My anxiety is not so good right now. As much as I was excited about this job, at the time, I was slightly freaking out. I don't know a single person in this building. I don't like being judged. I was shaking as I locked up her car and headed inside. Once inside, I found out there was a group of us starting today. The five of us went on a tour of the building. We were then introduced to some people, then, we were all dragged into a huge conference room and asked to take a seat. Before I knew it, a bunch of people from this floor were in the conference room with us. "Attention everyone, Mr. Hart will be in here shortly." The woman said before she left the room. I took this time while we waited to check my phone, Court and my parents had texted me. Just then, as I was replying to my mom, I was more than shocked to hear a very familiar strong man's voice as someone entered the room. No it can't be, this isn't happening. "Good morning everyone, I'm Mr. Hart, or you can call me, Dean." I looked up and, sure enough, my now new boss is the same man I slept with 3 nights ago, the man I was hoping I never had to see again. When our eyes meet, he doesn't look shocked at all, he's smiling, almost like he knew I was going to be here today. Oh my gosh, did he actually know I was going to be here? During his speech about the workplace, how he likes things and how he's not like all the other people who are "assholes," yes he used that word in the workplace, he starred at me probably 85 percent of the time without making it obvious. "So welcome to newcomers, hello to the ones already here. Let's make sure this is a place where no one hates their job. We will be a family. I am looking forward to getting to know all you. Always remember my door is always open, unless it's closed. Let's get to work." He started shaking everyone's hands as people exited the conference room. I wasn't in a rush to leave, but I also didn't want to be the last one to leave. But of course, I ended up being th last one... "We meet again…" he said as he shook my hand, he leaned closer to my ear. "Meet me in my office in 15 minutes, beautiful." I felt the goosebumps form on my arm. As I walked past him, he winked at me. I walked to my desk, still shocked. Well, i am off to a great start to my fresh life. I pulled my phone out to text Court.. Me; YOU WILL NEVER GUESS WHO MY BOSS IS!!! I see the three little dots pop up and go over and over again... definitely trying to guess. Court; Tom Brady. Me; OMG no. Dean from the bar... Court; NO WAY! YOU SLEPT WITH YOUR BOSS? GET SOME MORE GIRL. HE HOT! Me; Shut up! But he did tell me to meet him in his office. Court; WHAT ARE YOU DOING TEXTING ME THEN?!?!? GOTO HIS OFFICE ;) Just when I was trying to talk myself into walking to his office, his assistant walked up to my desk. "Mr. Hart would like to speak with you." Of course, I said in my head. I took a deep breath before getting up and heading to his office. When I knocked on the door, he told me to come in his office and shut the door. I did what he asked, and took a seat. Before he could say anything to me, I asked. "Did you know?" "Did I know what?" he looked confused. "Did you know you were my boss at the club...?" "Not at first, at first you were just a beautiful woman I wanted to talk to. But after we got to know each other, and you told me your story about what happened back in New York, I knew… You were talked about in the meeting I was in earlier that day." "What do you mean I got talked about in the meeting that day…?" "It's nothing bad. We were talking about all 5 of the newcomers, so your name was brought up and so was your job history, but even after I realized I still wanted to talk to you. I didn't even mean for you to come back to my house and spend the night, but I don't regret it. Honestly, I was super bummed to wake up and find you gone." "I didn't see a reason to stay…usually one-night stands, meaning one-night only... that's usually how men like it..." "Who even said it was going to be a one-night stand? I told you that night I don't really sleep around much. I am not like all these other men that you keep talking about, just so you know." "I am sorry, sorry for assuming what I thought, but it doesn't matter, you're my boss. I can't sleep with my boss. I did mean every word I told you Friday night. I take my job seriously, so that can never happen again. I think I should go before people get the wrong idea." I said as I was getting up, but before I could get to the door, Dean was already at me. He grabbed me by the hips. He kept looking at my lips and then back up into my eyes, before I could say anything, he lowered his lips to mine. If there is anything Dean is good at, it's s** and kissing. I almost forgot I was even at work for a sec. When he pulled away, and stared at my eyes. "If you want to pretend there is nothing between us, then I respect that, I respect that you're a hard worker, and you want to take this seriously. That actually makes me happy to have you work for me, but if you think for one second, I am going to pretend the same thing, you're out of your damn mind because you have been on my mind all weekend, and I don't plan to stop thinking about you any time soon."
