Keith woke up the next day from a small sound inside his room. He squinted his eyes before he slowly opens them up.
The first face that he saw was a nurse beside his bed. She was hanging the IV that was attached to his veins in his right hand.
“Mr. Ross, you’re awake?” she asked, smiling at him. “Is this hospital? Why am I here?” he asked her back confusedly. The nurse turned slightly before she answered him.
“You don’t remember what happened yesterday? You have appendicitis, and you just had surgery. Do you feel any nausea or headache?” the nurse asked him attentively.
“No, I’m good, actually.” He replied curtly then the nurse excuse herself.
