Chapter eight : The Tournament Begin

 Dragon and Tatsui had arrived in Togu City. There they met a variety of people, from friendly to arrogant people, and most of the people they met were people who would take part in the Togu City Tournament.  But Dragon's intention was constrained by costs, because he did not have the money to register, so he was helped by Tatsui to rush to find work on the city's bulletin board. And lucky Dragon, because on the bulletin board there was a demand for zuci desert snake scales that Dragon had, and the price was quite high. So that way Dragon can get money to register.

 Shortly afterwards Dragon and Tatsui were already at the place of registration to submit the tournament entrance fee, and fortunately there was still an empty allotment for 1 more person to be able to participate, so that now Dragon could officially become a participant in the Togu City Tournament, and tomorrow was the day the Competition began. Therefore they must prepare their physical and mental condition, and one way is to rest in a comfortable place. So now Dragon and Tatsui decided to go look for lodging so that the two of them could rest.

 But just as they were about to leave the registration place, a long-haired, bare-haired man, came there. He intends to register to become a participant in the Togu City Tournament, but unfortunately, the organizing committee said that the quota had expired, so the registration was officially closed, and Dragon was the last participant to register.

 Therefore, the man who has a large body posture was immediately angry and rampaging, he immediately turned his gaze to Dragon then with a feeling filled with anger, he challenged Dragon to fight there. The real goal was so that he could beat Dragon to a pulp, so that Dragon could not participate in the Togu City Tournament, then he could replace Dragon.

 But then, Dragon and Tatsui nodded at each other, they both looked at the big man's face, with a serious look, so that the face of the man who had been filled with anger, suddenly immediately looked pale and sweaty.

It was truly unfortunate that, after being refused to registration, he also get beaten. That's because he has dared to act arbitrarily to others, and not let go of something that could not be his.

 Meanwhile in another place, or rather in Flaur's castle. The sorcerrer was watching all of Dragon's act, from the crystal ball in his hand. Flaur had seen Dragon register the Tournament, then he said.

 The next day, most of the residents of Togu City had gathered in a very large and magnificent place, namely a stadium called Amritzer. Inside there is a fairly wide arena of competition, in the form of a rectangular floor that looks very striking, as a ring for fighting, around it there are plenty of large-capacity seating for the audience. There are also some organizers who are responsible for everything during the tournament, as well as Kingdom wizards who will help with their respective expertise.

 Medical wizards, whose job is to provide first aid and provide treatment to injured participants.

The protective wizards, whose job it is to mount a transparent shield, so that the audience can watch each fight safely, without fear of being attacked by the participants who are fighting.

And the detecting wizards, who have the duty to record and broadcast everything that happens in the Togu City Tournament directly.

 Every event that is happening in the Tournament will be aired through a crystal ball in each resident's home. With a recording stick that is owned by the wizards, the implementation of the Togu City Tournament can be witnessed directly by the entire community, both in the Kingdom of Nexus, or those outside the Kingdom of Nexus.

 The crystal ball that everyone has, has a variety of sizes and shapes. And it can be useful for displaying what is being detected by detecting wizards, but of course there are legal restrictions, the expertise of detecting magicians should not be used to spy on a person's life. So the work of the detecting wizards is the same as a surveillance officer for the kingdom.

 Even though residents can watch the Togu City Tournament in their own homes, things are still lacking. Namely because the crystal ball can only display images without being able to make a sound, the detecting wizards also fly birds that have the ability to voice everything that is happening in the arena at the Amritzer Stadium.

 They will alight in every corner of the Kingdom of Nexus, especially near people's homes. For those who have a crystal ball, then with the sound of the bird, it feels like watching television. As for those who don't have a crystal ball and only listen to the sound of the bird, it feels like they're listening to the radio. These birds have a name that is Manpoy, or often referred to as the Broadcaster.

 In essence, the Tournament will be broadcast via a crystal ball in each resident's home, with Broadcasting Birds as supporters of its voice.

 An organizer just simply puts the Queen of the birds in the stadium to watch the ongoing competition, then the sound heard by the Queen will be mimicked and shouted by all Broadcaster birds that are scattered in various regions.

 Broadcasting birds are fish-eating animals and mice that live in colonies like bees, their minds are connected to each other, and their special ability is to be able to mimic all the sounds heard by their Queen. So their queen is the same as a microphone that can emit sounds to a large number of loudspeakers.

 The Tournament will start shortly, but there are still some participants who are not there yet. Dragon and Tatsui were seen rushing to the Amritzer Stadium, they were late in coming because no one woke them up at all. While continuing to run, they talked to each other.

 "Why doesn't anyone wake us at all?" Dragon asked Tatsui.

 "That's because no one would have thought that we were tournament participants." Tatsui answered.

 So inevitably, Dragon and Tatsui carried Gill's body towards the stadium while walking quickly, Dragon grumbled along the way to the stadium.

There the atmosphere was very festive, the organizing committee was giving a welcoming speech there, they also introduced the person who would be the commentator and host of the match, who would sit next to the Queen of Broadcaster birds.

 Dragon and Tatsui were already in the waiting room for the participants, while Gill was still seen sleeping soundly in that place, one of the organizers there said that they were lucky because they had come exactly five minutes before the gate was closed, if only the three of them had come late, then they will definitely be disqualified.

 Then not long after, Gill began to wake up from his sleep, and asked, "Where is this?"

 After that the matchmaker began to announce that the Togu City Tournament had begun, then he called on all Tournament participants to get out immediately and go up to the arena.

 The number of participants who have registered to take part in the Tournament, approximately 100 people. Consisting of several women, and most of them men, they all stood on the arena while watching the entire stands watching cheering them on with enthusiastic supports.

 "I've never been surrounded by people this much." Tatsui said.

 "Me too." Said Dragon.

 Then the master of ceremonies announced about the qualification rounds that had to be faced by all participants who were there. In this qualification round the number of participants will experience a reduction, until later there are only about 16 participants left, henceforth will be installed with their respective opponents in the later round of the fight.

 "In this qualification round, the participants will be given a very tough exam. You must be able to survive and not get out of the arena.
