Roomate surprises
Sarah couldn't hold back her frustration any longer. She'd been standing in the long line, patiently waiting her turn to get her dorm assignment when the random freshman in front of her had brazenly cut in. It was a breach of queue etiquette that ruffled her feathers.
"Excuse me," Sarah said, her voice firm but not confrontational. "The line starts back there."
The freshman turned to look at her, a nonchalant expression on their face. "What's the big deal? It's just a line."
Sarah was taken aback by the lack of consideration. She wasn't about to let it slide.
"The big deal is that we're all waiting our turn. It's not fair to cut in line. Please go to the back like everyone else."
The freshman shrugged and, with an annoyed sigh, reluctantly moved to the back of the line.
Sarah exhaled a sigh of relief, glad that the line was back in order. The tension had dissipated, and she was able to focus on her upcoming turn to receive her dorm assignment.
I know that was dramatic but i'm getting really stressed and some cunt comes from nowhere. Oh well.
After a few more minutes of waiting, a college worker standing by the dormitory entrance raised their voice, announcing, "Next!"
It was finally Sarah's turn. She approached the desk, her heart pounding with anticipation. After verifying her information, the worker handed her a keycard and provided directions to her assigned dormitory.
With keycard in hand, Sarah felt a mix of excitement and trepidation.
Time to find my dorm room but first i need some water ASAP.
The thirst that had been nagging her for a while led her to the nearest water stand, where she drank deeply, trying to quench both her physical thirst and the growing unease within her.
Afterward, she decided to use the restroom to freshen up. But as she entered one of the stalls, she made a disheartening discovery - she was on her period and didn't have a tampon with her.
Panic set in briefly, but Sarah knew she needed to find a solution quickly.Rushing out of the bathroom, she scanned her surroundings, desperately seeking to find help.
As she approached the bathroom door, she pushed it open without a second thought, only to bump into someone who was entering. The shock of the unexpected encounter left her momentarily stunned as she realized she had mistakenly entered the men's bathroom. Could her day possibly get any worse? Time seemed to slip away as she contemplated her next move.
What's wrong with me? Sarah wondered, her heart still racing from the unexpected encounter in the men's bathroom.
First the argument, then realizing I'm on my period without a tampon, and now this... She let out a sigh of frustration, feeling like she was trapped in a chaotic cycle.
Why does it feel like everything is going wrong today? Sarah mused, questioning her luck it was as if the universe conspired to test her resilience on this very day.
Determined to regain her composure, she reminded herself, I can't let these mishaps define my college experience. I need to stay focused and not let the unexpected derail my journey.
With newfound determination, Sarah continued her search for her dorm room, ready to put the day's obstacles behind her and embrace whatever comes next.
As Sarah walked to the dorm for a few minutes, the anticipation building with each step, she finally reached the door and let out a deep breath. "Finally," she whispered to herself. The word carried both relief and a sense of readiness for whatever surprises awaited her inside.
As Sarah stood at the threshold of her new dorm room, she took a deep breath and gave herself an internal pep talk. You can do this, Sarah, she reassured herself. It's just new roommates; it can't be that bad.
She focused on maintaining a confident exterior, not wanting to let her nervousness show. I've got this, she thought, her resolve strengthening. College is all about new experiences, and this is just the beginning.
As Sarah entered the room, she immediately noticed the two distinct scenarios unfolding. One of her roommates was sound asleep, lost in dreams, while the other was sitting at her desk, engrossed in some task. The atmosphere was thick with awkward silence.
Sarah couldn't bear the silence any longer, so she gathered her courage and let out a nervous, almost shaky, "Hey." Her voice wavered with a hint of uncertainty.
The awake roommate turned toward her, her expression still somewhat reserved, and replied with a flat, "Hey."
She then added, her tone lacking warmth, "Sorry, but the room's already full."
Sarah, her nerves still evident, asked her roommate loud enough for her to hear but not to wake the sleeping one, "What do you mean by 'full'?"
The roommate turned her attention toward Sarah and explained, "It's supposed to be three people in a room, not four."
Sarah quickly responded, "I'm the third person, though."The roommate corrected her, "The other girl went to get food."
Sarah let out a sigh, realizing the situation.
The need for a tampon was pressing, so she gathered the courage to ask, "Can I use the bathroom for a moment? I just need to grab something."
As Sarah made her way to the bathroom, the narrow space made it difficult to avoid brushing against her sleeping roommate. She mistakenly hit her, causing the sleeping roommate to stir slightly. Sarah whispered a soft, apologetic "Sorry," not wanting to wake her fully.
In the bathroom, as she freshened up, Sarah's thoughts were a whirlwind of frustration and disbelief. 'Full? Seriously, can I win something?' she mused to herself, feeling the weight of her current predicament.
Leaving the bathroom, she found her luggage still waiting in the room. She approached the awake roommate and asked, "Is it okay if I leave my stuff here while I go straighten things out?"
The roommate responded with a simple "Yeah," and Sarah left the room, making her way to sort out the situation.
