Chapter 35

“Hey, who said the fight would be over before it even started? It seems you were correct. But, it wasn’t in favour of our leader…” One of the demon soldier said.

Although their leader’s attack might have been fierce and powerful, Julius flung him with a greater force than the one he attacked him with in slit seconds. It seems that’s all Zaron could do Julius thought. He was growing bored and tired of their disrespect towards him, so when he flung Zaron, he wasn’t pulling his punches much, using more than halve of his strength. After being stuck in the rock for a brief moment, Zaron fell to the ground halve dead and unconscious.

Without saying anymore words, Julius just started moving towards the group of demons. “Stand your ground and attack this monster!” Yurs yelled as he charged forward, the other demons followed his lead without hoping much in their minds.

“What’s wrong with you people? You are demons but you call a human a monster?” Julius said as if talking to himself in a quiet voice. Before they got too close to him, he wasn’t interested in entertaining them anymore, so he moved into Yurs’ face and jammed the back of his head into the ground with his right hand while simultaneously seizing his sword with the other hand. The force he jammed the head with was much, enough to fracture Yurs’ skull making it an instant kill. With the same motion of raising his head, he swung the sword that he now held in his left hand horizontally cutting through the air from side to side. But as he did, the soldiers all divided into two halves without him even making contact with them. “There was one more, where is he?.. there.”

Ao who was far gone into the forest felt a little out of death’s grip. He had the most speed out of the bunch, and although he was lacking in every other thing, he compensated in his speed. ‘How could this happen? How can a human have such physical strength? How can he be that strong? For now, I have to return and inform the mistress.’ Before he could even finish his thoughts, a sword flew into his head and through. ‘What. Just happened.’ *Coughs out blood* ‘Haha, I who was praised for his speed would today be unable to out run a human..’ “So embarrassing.” Those were the last word to leave his mouth before he completely lost consciousness and later died.

After killing the remaining soldiers, Julius broke the sword he held and threw the front portion almost casually towards a direction into the forest, and in seconds it met with Ao’s head.

“Master! You are so strong! How can small movements like that be able to produce such force and strength? It’s incredible!” Nora said as she approached Julius.

“Haha, I’m just that awesome.” ‘In the end, learning that technique was worth it. Although, I can’t let them know about that, at least not now.’  

“You are too much darling.” Emilia said.

“Darling?” Julius was taken by surprise as he didn’t expect to hear something like that. Apparently, Emilia was taking her wifely role quite literarily and dutifully. “You are turning into a house wife now are you?” Julius asked playfully.

“Of course not. But even then, I still have to take care of my husband don’t I?” A little smile escaped Emilia’s lips as she said this, almost as though she couldn’t help the smile. “I’ll take care of the bodies.”

“While you’re at it, head a little deeper into the forest, there’s a body there.” Emilia nodded as Julius finished his sentence.

With that, Julius headed inside with Nora to grab some things, and in a short time, they came out with a small bag. Emilia had finished cleaning the scene in no time and headed deeper into the forest from where their cave was. After a while of running, she got to Ao’s body which laid lifeless on the ground. How could Julius kill him from the cave while he was all the way here she thought. Out of curiosity, she searched the area for traps that Julius most have set, but to her surprise there were none, that was when she saw the half piece of blade that pierced a tree just in front of where Ao’s body was. She immediately thought back to when Julius broke the sword he held and threw it, but the fact that that sword was able to travel this far was far astonishing. She originally thought Julius only broke the sword because he just felt like or something, but it would seem this was the reason. But something didn’t add up, when Julius broke the sword, he threw it almost casually into the forest, and it didn’t seem to be aiming at anything, but the dead body here says otherwise. “My husband is really unfathomable, I’m too lucky. After taking all those downs in life, it seems like my luck has changed.” Emilia said with a sincerity from deep within her heart and soul. “I shall follow my husband through anything in life for better or for worse.”

Back at the cave, Julius had already treated Zaron from his injuries and extracted relevant information from him. After discussing with Nora a little, he decided to keep him alive to act as their servant. Considering the fact that he was some type of leader in the army he was in, his strength should be quite respectable amongst the demons, so he would do fine.

“It looks like these guys were sent here by the so called mistress, so we’ll be going to pay her a visit soon. Now let’s proceed to your treatment immediately.” Julius said as he headed into the cave with Zaron hovering in the air in a lying position through some telekinetic magic.

When Emilia came back, she headed inside thinking Julius and Nora had gone out as they had planned. Julius had constructed some type of bath soak where he put some herbs and other things that he claimed were good for the skin and general health. He couldn’t use magic to fix some scars and damaged skin, so he made the bath for Emilia and Nora to heal their skin. Emilia’s skin wasn’t good, but it was ok, if she needed to complete a task where she needed to show skin, she would just used fake skin, face and illusion magic. Her actual skin had gotten very unwomanly after practicing the demonic technique that let her pass through the gate. As for Nora, being a slave for those years was enough. She had all sizes of scars all over her body and her overall skin wasn’t attractive at all. Emilia still fell the littlest bit insecure because even with all these flaws, Nora was still good looking, so after she completely healed, she would be way better.

“Why do I need to share this awesome bath? Heh, Nora is a good girl, so it’s ok I guess.” ‘What’s this? I don’t remember being so petty to the point of not wanting to share a bath, but now… Is it because I got it from my husband?’ With this thought, she smiled mildly, this was what love felt like she thought.

As she entered inside she headed straight to the room extension where the bath was, and after about thirty minutes of soaking, she exited and headed to the room. At this point, Julius remodeled the cave making it into a proper house with doors and everything he could put in it. She hummed along as she headed to the room, but as she opened the door, her cheeks immediately turned bright red because she had walked into Julius’ room without clothes, and he was inside.

Julius turned and caught her naked body in sight without any filter unlike the time they were taking their bath in the pond. “Oh Emi, sorry for the inconvenience, we had a change of plans so we returned inside. You can go to the other…”

“No, it’s ok. We are husband and wife, aren’t we? This much is nothing, it’s normal.” ‘Why am I so flustered? This is not the first time I’m being naked before a man. Arrrr!’

Nora on the other hand didn’t look surprised or flustered at all, apparently she was used to it already, plus the fact that they were the ones, it was even less troubling. Emilia had moved into Julius’ room after they ‘got married’ and abandoned her own room which Nora used as hers now. Although she moved over, they still didn’t share a bed and slept in different beds. Julius thought she might have felt a little embarrassed, so he decided to compliment her to make her feel more comfortable.

“You have an enchanting figure and proportions, simply beautiful.” Julius said. This made even Nora to blush a little and to the unguarded Emilia even more.

“Re, really?.. You. Really think so?” Emilia said flustered.

“Yes, I don’t lie. I’ve seen many naked women and you are one of the best I’ve seen, you could easily be passed for a princes or something, definitely one of the few humans with an angel’s beauty.” Although Julius’ idea was to compliment her, he didn’t lie or add anything, she was really that beautiful and enchanting. Julius being the strongest mage in the entire world apart from the three great kings was courted by many women placed on different places on the beauty scale.  This Emilia knew very well, since she had tried to assassinate him on different occasions where he had to meet one princess or another, or have a picnic with another influential man’s daughter.

Slowly, she returned to her normal self, wore some clothes and heard from Julius what he had done with Zaron and what they’ll be doing going forward. Later late at night, Julius completed Nora’s treatment and she proceeded to the bath to soak for a while as Julius instructed before heading to bed.

“Are you done?” Emilia asked.

“Yes. Seeing as my tenacity and stamina are quite high, I’m not at all tired or sleepy?”

“Me too.” She said as she claimed into Julius’ bed.

“Why are you talking like that?”

“I don’t know, I want to comfort you today.”

“You, are very bold. Hehe, Just as my wife should be, but not today. How about a cuddle for now? Hope I’m not rejecting you while you are in the mood for it?”

“Well, I’m always in the mood for you, so.”

“You’re too naughty.” Julius responded as he tucked her in, rubbing her hand gently, feeling as she drifted into sleep after sometime.
