Meeting the boss 1

After used the skin masks and illusion magic to fake their appearances to the fullest degree he could, they were finally ready to enter the city. Zaron took them to a certain merchant that stationed outside the city close to the enormous city gate. “Before we even think of entering the city, we have to visit a particular merchant to get some necessities.” Zaron said as they approached the gate, before leading them in a separate direction. After walking for some minutes, they came across a small peculiar hut, and to complement the size of it, it had an old look to it that managed not to look disgusting, but rather showed just how well aged it was. “What an interesting place you’ve brought us, Zaron.” Julius said as he broke the quiet in the group after getting close to the old hut. He seemed to have noticed something about the place that fascinated the mage in him. “What is it master? Is something wrong?” Nora asked. “It’s nothing much, I’m just curious as to who this merchant might be is all.” “mmm?” “Well, this place does feel a little strange, as though something is actively interfering with the laws around that hut.” Emilia added. “As expected of my lord and his wife, you noticed it without me needing to tell you anything.” As they got within about 10 meters of the hut, a demon appeared in front of the hut, creating an illusion of a mirage as he did. “Master, someone appeared.” “Not completely true Nora, he simply became visible. That is an interesting way to fool a customer into believing that the place is more powerful that it actually is, since teleportation isn’t just your everyday magic.” “Oh I see, so in actuality he was using an invisibility spell.” “Yes.” The guard at the door of the hut moved a couple feet away from the door and towards them gesturing with his hands as one would welcome a guest with a smile on his face. “What have you come to find in these parts good fellows?” ‘It’s been a while since someone came, the fact that they were able to find us is proof that they are long time customers at the very least, because I don’t recognize any of them. Well if anything else, I can just kill them.’ “I know what you are thinking, but they’ll be no need to do any dirty work today Sagg. I might be concealing my face, but it’s me Zaron.” “Zaron? Wow, It’s been a while. What brings you here this time?” “We’ve come to meet the boss for fake identifications. Normally I’d be doing that through other means, but this time as you can see I’m not alone, and we don’t plan on just passing by either.” “Ahh ok, you know your way, go see the boss then.” Even as the demon maintained a warn expression, he gave Julius and Emilia a different look from his eyes as they walked passed him. As for Emilia, her magic power was well perceived by the demon showing her strength, but as for Julius, there was no trace of mana found in him which made him the demon suspicious of him. As they entered the hut, Emilia and Nora were the most surprised of the group after they saw what was inside. They had their suspicion whether there would be a downward staircase or some teleportation array to take them to a different place, but to their surprise when they walked in, the space inside was at least the size of a big hall. “Amaaazingg… How is this possible?” Nora asked. She was taken completely by surprise on how big the place was. They had a little conversation on how it was possible for such a phenomenon to occur. Julius explained in the simplest way possible to the curious Emilia and Nora how the magic spell array used on the building worked and the principles guiding it. At the end of the hall directly opposite the entance to the left was an entrance with a thin curtain covering it that was made designed in such a way where people outside couldn’t see what was within, and as soon as they turned to face it, Zaron announced; “We are here, it seems the boss is also interested in us this time, he has made it easier for us to meet him.”
