In the blink of an eye, Oliver and I appear in a vast room washed in moonlight. Tall windows line the walls, the full moon pouring through them in silver sheets that stretch across the floor. The sudden shift sends my stomach lurching, as the world snaps into place too fast for my body to catch up, leaving me temporarily unsteady. The space itself is massive and open, its scale almost overwhelming. At its center sits a large seating area that anchors the center of the room with a deep couch and chairs arranged around a low coffee table, as a shaggy rug softens the stone beneath our feet. Across from it, a wide stone fireplace looms, dark and cold for now, as if waiting to be brought to life.
