As much as I wanted to pay attention in class and actually learn something about replication, my focus keeps drifting to one thing, and that is seeing Oliver tonight. After showering, I pull on dark clothes and pack a small bag and wait until the moon hangs high outside my window before slipping from my room. However, unlike before, I don’t really have to sneak. The common areas are always empty at night, like the dormitory itself is holding its breath. Once outside, I toss the bag forward so Lucy can catch it after I shift into her. I found traveling through the woods is easier this way because Lucy’s vision is sharp in the dark, and she can catch Oliver’s unmistakable scent even from miles away.
